Why would they go mad ??ask anyone in their 50's what Salford was like & if they are honest they will tell you the rags didn't exist in any numbers before the 60's.
My dad still smiles when he talks about his youth & how he had very few mates that were rags in Salford.

Are you being a tit o. P.? Out of all my mates in different parts of Salford I only have two"rag" mates, one doesn't go!! Don t fall into the trap thinking Salford is red!! My street has 5 season ticket holders at coms. One couple go to rag games!!

alot in salf are reds but dont really care, if your a blue, you hold your club close to your hearts.

My grandad always used to say Salford used to have more Bolton fans than the rags, thats why they fuckin hate the shit. Don't know how much truth there is it it but he also said when they won the cup they started their parade in salford.
