I'm a City fan. Can't get to the games often cause I'm only young and rent and that comes first, and I'm working at weekends but half the time they make out like City fans aren't in Salford at all and it does my head in, this opinion that only rags are in Salford. =/

Swinton is a good branch and we had a good meeting with Cheeseman the other week.

there is a meeting coming up in March and there is likely to be a player there........

You haven't been looking close enough. the majority of fans in salford are rags... were a minority

There is no supporters branch in Salford. Most Salford Blues either travel to Swinton or P&W for meetings.

Thanks Alex, I might take you up on that but don't worry we would never set foot in the swamp. Foolsgold has sold me the Swinton branch for now as birthday cake is too good an offer to turn down.

Obviously there's plenty more rags in Salford than there is Blues, but we are out there, and I find it a bit stupid this "We're from Manchester, they're from Salford" schtick, because I was born in Hope Hospital, and so was me Dad, rest his soul, and he was a massive blue until the day he died. I was raised in Weaste, and then moved between there and Swinton over the years, and I've known PLENTY of blues from Salford. So whilst I believe there's a multitude of Rags in Salford, theres some of us City fans too.

My two grandsons, Jack James Kippax Channon and Joe Mercer Royle Channon were also born at Salford's Hope Hospital as indeed was their dad. When I did the first proud Grandad visit to see my grandson I couldn't help but notice all the curtains were closed. I asked my son why was this and is reply was a solid Blue one. Unfortunately from the hospital window you could view the swamp dwellers home and there was no way he would have the shadow of the evil empire cast over the fruit of his loins, Bless him.

Not easy living in Rag heartland and every so often you come across one that's actually visited OT, usually on a school trip.
