As has n even said it's thirty quid for WHU. Yet you trotted out the "that's not many seats" and "it's an evening kick off". Look if you don't want to go then don't go, end of. Instead complaining about something that isn't as you describe it.
Tomorrow night the current champions of Italy are playing the second placed team of England. You can get tickets for £30 and under 16s for a fiver. Yet last week Crewe were charging £22.50 for a League Two game.
Get a sense of perspective and just accept you don't really want to go and it's a convenient excuse that City are overcharging, or the kick off times are all wrong.
However I agree that a membership card to buy tickets is ludicrous, however I think it's done to stop away fans from getting tickets in the home end.
I didn't realise that, but I don't buy one......and the membership card gives you a £5 discount on the match day ticket so pays for itself in just seven games.
Don't forget there's no Alcohol sales in the ground on European nights mate .The OP opines for cheaper tickets, somewhere between £20 to £25 and yet last week he could have bought a seasoncard for just £299, less than the price is advocating.
It's all about personal circumstances and opinion, but I'd rather go and watch the game live than spend the money in the pub.
Spent more than I should on Saturday drinking and eating down at Palace and on the train home so probably won't go to the pub before the game on Tuesday for more food and drink.
I'll go and watch the EDS for free, take something to eat at the Academy and then wander over, have a pint and watch the big boys play.
My pint will be in City SquareDon't forget there's no Alcohol sales in the ground on European nights mate .
Ha Ha why twist what I have said ,how do you know I don't really want to go & am trotting out excuses ,I am merely pointing out that many fans now chose to watch the game in the pubs & those fans should be encouraged with discounted offers to return .tomorrow night is a great example of how City get it right a lot of the time .at least we agree about the membership card lolAs has n even said it's thirty quid for WHU. Yes, it's £5.00 discount on tickets and a book of vouchers with other discounts. Also with regards booking fee, there isn't one if you book online.I didn't realise that, but I don't buy one.
So when the OP is doing his calculations and adding on the cost of the membership card to the overall price, therefore inflating the cost, he should be really leaving it as cost neutral, until after seven games when it begins to save you money?

The club cannot afford to sell seats too cheaply, Twatini has seen to that - we have to generate as much income as possible to meet his ffp requirements, which means even though our owners would probably want to charge lower prices they simply cannot afford to, just another example of the shit that is ffp. To be fair to City I was able to get my lads season tickets for £125 each which is fantastic value, as is the cup games kids for a quid/fiver.I agree 100% with you. But the club aren't bothered; they'll fill most of those seats in every PL game. It's sad, but the bottom line is money these days. As I said earlier, why would the club kiss godbye to a substantial amount of money each home game, just to appease those "new/casual" fans you mention?
