Maybe I'm just pissed at the current level of pricing and my current employment status. I just want the place to be rocking, but a lot of today's fans sit in silence for the whole 90 mins. Anyway, going well off topic now.
 
£240 and I will donate £40 of it to a charity very close to my heart with receipts to prove

I disagree - I think you are very much on topic in relation to ticket pricing and atmosphere.

I think a decrease in pricing would result in better atmosphere.
Looking at the match like an entertainment product, if you go to a music concert thats just £5 many won't expect much and just go because they want to go.
Whereas if you went to a music concert that was £100 a ticket many would be somewhat expectant to be entertained and I've found at other enetertainment events, people will stand in the fields/at stadiums and look at the bands on stage just waiting to be entertained.

Put the same people in a field with a decent band + £95 in their back pocket and the place will get bouncing.

Other factors do play a role as well such as the ability to stand, be around likeminded people/friends/family, and of course adequate beer facilities... Add to this cheaper ticketing across every league and it's football heaven.

No excuses then from the blues who have defected to pubs to watch games.

But that's not what you said, so why pick me up on a point you didn't make in my quote.
You bemoaned the number of middle class fans at the game.

When I started going I was four years old, my dad took me with his dad and brothers, they all worked in a local bakery and were working class.
I was lucky enough to go to University, the first in my family, and then get a decent job. I suppose I should have stopped going then due to your logic? However I wonder if the fair weather fans like you would have taken up my place at Darlington on a freezing cold terrace on a Friday night in December or perhaps gone to reading for a mid week relegation battle where you are two nil down after ten minutes?
Well tonight is only a tenner and on general sale, would you like to meet up and have a friendly pint?

What about my kids, should they not go as they were born into a middle class family?
I'll have to check my seasoncard T&Cs to see if it stipulates an earnings ceiling.

Funny though, no one seems to moan about the away atmosphere yet I go to those games too.

And before you go on with yourself again, and some of the others, I'd love City to sell seasoncards at £10 and a fiver for kids, it would give me more disposable income so I wouldn't have to scrimp on the foie-gras and champagne after the game.

Get a grip, Squirty. Some things are sacred. As for me, I never leave the house for a match without a foie-gras muffin and a quaff of Lanson in me flask!
 
Keep an eye out for 1894 groups 'plans' for pre-match against Newcastle, this will be addressed and anyone who feels strongly about this will be encouraged to help out!
 
I blame the buying policies of why we don't sell in week in week out. Some people don't want the aggro of signing up to whatever membership...alot of people work weekends (me included...on a rota its shite) and its just effort arsing about for alot of people when were on telly half the time. So alot of people in general, would prefer buying tickets over a counter at the city shop or just que up at the ticket at the ground (so general sale from the minute they go out on sale) the old fashioned, but better way. Plus them FB groups arent great due to the blatant point whoring and the fact that our "fans" buy tickets in bulk when they have no intention of watching the lads.

Price wise, it's the going rate at most top flight teams unfortunately.
