Thought I'd open this seeing as people may want to discuss this game further, seeing as that is what this forum is for & the other thread has been locked.

Judge that for yourselves unless it gets deleted out of sheer embarrassment.

Anyhow there's a preview on the OS in case all the details get lost.

Not wanting to get involved in the shenanigans on the locked thread about where best to put the thread, there might be a decent turnout for this now because yesterday City finally got their act together and sent out text messages promoting this game. A bit short notice for those that weren't aware but should help boost the crowd all the same.

I'm looking forward to this - I was surprised at the quality of the play in the Schalke game and hoping for more of the same. Hopefully Liverpool can present a stiffer challenge than Schalke did.

The quality of the football is really, really good. You'll see some better movement and touches than you would if you were watching most 'Super Sunday' games. Schalke are actually considered a decent team at this level too for what its worth, our team is just *that* good when it clicks.

It's nice to hear they're texting out about it, though i haven't received that. Tweeting about it a fair bit now though too.

Yeah I've signed up to text alerts from City & I got one re the Liverpool game.

Good that they are doing this for academy games.
I suppose you follow the unofficial tweets of @MCFC_EDS_ACAD?

He/she is pretty good with up to date info

I don't do twitter myself, but now you have mentioned it, I'll have a look anyway.

Cheers.

I think The Dippers will present a stiffer challenge than Schalke, and from what I've seen of the EDS they can go ahead with some outstanding play and then it's all hands to the pump and the curse of the 2-0 lead weighs heavily.

I'll be going to this game. Just hope that Barker and Ambrose are fit to play.

Think it's a week too early for Ambrose but Barker I think will be okay.
