Media bias against City

There's a bit of all of us that secretly quite enjoys getting worked up about it as well. Not saying that's the main reason for such a reaction, but it's an added bonus ;-)

I suppose if there is any praise for the Club from the media, we know it's not lickspittle.

The only people that effect me really are those i care about, Quinn pisses me off, he's in our hall of fame but doesnt have many nice things to say about us. The rest of them i wouldnt give them the steam off my piss, so whatever they say is fairly irrelevant to me. I dont listen to them at all.

I'm not casting aspersions on anyone's City credentials, but if you love something how can you not be bothered about it being spoken of so unfairly and unprofessionally by people within the media?

It's got to provoke a reaction at some point, surely? (that's a polite question btw)

I think the vast majority of City fans do get annoyed when we are spoken about unfairly or unprofessionally in the media. The likes of Tyler, Ogden and Jackson infuriate most of us with their disparaging references to the club, and are rightly pulled up for it.

It's more the perceived snubs that I have less time for, namely when we're not spoken about.

If we don't feature prominently in a Sky montage, or aren't given top billing on Match of the Day, or receive less column inches than our rivals - that stuff weakens the argument for me as it's not evidence of a specific agenda against City as such, it's just media outlets pandering to their audience.

Pageviews, subscriptions and viewing figures are what drives it, not a concerted effort to put us down specifically.

Sadly, there are very few football journalists in this country with genuine integrity.
