Media bias against City

Was watching some of the post match coverage of Arsenal's humbling by a fairly poor Munich team last night and they were having excuses made for them left, right and centre about how the result only happened because Bayern were so good, desperate really.
On Itv they were ripping into the defence for continually standing off their man and allowing shots and crosses.

Your definition of "a poor Munich team" is rather harsh

Well they weren't playing up to scratch, they were misplacing passes all game and the wide men were pretty ineffective, Arsenal were just shite. The only Munich players I thought had good games were Alaba and Thiago.

The headlines are so biased. Arse gets fucked by Bayern and the two headlines are "how Arsenal could still qualify" and "maybe the loss is a good thing for Wenger"

Would that be written about us if we'd been destroyed like that?

Its amazing the negative bias. Its not always obvious and if you'r not a City fan its probably not noticed in the more subtle cases. A typical one I noticed was on Talksh1te after the weekend matches. News presenter stating that "City remain top of the league but only because of goal difference". The more neutral and less bias report should have been
"City are still top of the league on goal difference". Or am I just over sensitive?

Last night Mark Pougatch stated that Arsenal were joint top. To which i replied,
No they're fucking not, they're 2nd. I dont' think he heard me though ;-)

Thing is it's often better to allow the cross rather than allow the attacker to get to the by-line and get behind the defence OR to cut inside and get away a shot or a killer pass. It depends how good your centre halves are. Arsenal's are supposed to be good. ;-)
