Media bias against City

For those Blues who don't believe in "the system" in which the media operates in, please ask yourself this: Would City really be mentioned by the likes of Sky/BT/TalkShite and so on if we weren't in competitions which they promote and contain clubs they are associated with?

I highly doubt it. whereas if the likes of Manure, Arsenal, Liverpool were to up sticks and play in some Super League in another country - They'll be all over it.

We are mentioned reluctantly. in their system of PR, they make revenue from clubs who create the interest.... We are now seen as the "Bad Guy" of this form of entertainment.
The good guys are the likes of Manure, Arsenal, Liverpool.

The media will be making revenue from City, but they are basing this on casting us in the Bad Guy Role.... so all the fans of the Good Guys will hate us naturally and thus
want to see us fail, so will click on links which criticise City, gloat on our failures and so on.

This isn't always the case %100, but it's apparent if you know anything about PR what has been gradually going on since the takeover.

Like many big hollywood blockbusters however, sometimes the good guys turn bad and vice versa ;)
You hit the nail on the head. All of the media outlets rely on circulation or click through etc. The fact is there are more raggy hordes around the world alongside Liverpool, Arsenal fans etc... without even thinking about the European clubs like Barca, Real, Bayern. Stories about Manchester City and other nouveau rich clubs in the negative are gonna get written and be popular.

Oh do cheer up. Just imagine that you're a Mr Whippy, lying in the summer sunshine, thinking of England.

Mr Whippy makes me too reminiscent of Margaret Thatcher, I'm afraid.

Even the regional news is at it.
In the granada reports summary of last night's games, they showed the foul on sterling 3 times in slow motion. The presenter then said, "he wasn't going anywhere though was he? "
A foul is a foul isn't it?

I agree with him - it shouldn't result in a free shot on goal as he actually wasn't going anywhere, he invited the challenge which duly came - however the rules, as they stand, state that this should be a penalty, so the presenter is being a nob.

IMO he should have got an indirect free kick
Also IMO, we shouldn't have to rely on a last minute penalty to beat everton at home
