Or rather, "quod non erat demonstandum"
Who Man City could face was the lead story at 7p.m (look at newsnow). Obviously not enough 'clicks' so they have, in that lazy journalistic way they do, substituted Liverpool for Man City.
They are also running a story titled, "Arsenal, Man Utd and Man City handed tough Champions League draw". No mention of Liverpool (although they do say "whoever qualifies").
" It's strange how paranoia can link up with reality now and then". (Phillip K Dick).
Look Elwood, the fact that you are not paranoid does not mean you are not being followed
The blues brothers and sisters that show evidence of the press roaches attempts against City are not paranoid, just that they do not have their heads buried in the sand nor up fleet street hacks arses.
I'm not sure that we are in disagreement here. I only have an issue with an agenda not in believing there is an anti City bias. One suggests that there is some conspiracy to stop City at all costs, involving Eufa, FIFA, the premier league, referees Uncle Tom Cobly and all and one that journalists are paid to write bullshit.
The daily mail and their ilk make up stories about everything, everyday. Stories that will appeal to their readers.
Why people expect journalists to be bastions of truth when it comes to football is unfathomable. They lie about everything else.
They have spent years convincing people about the 'sky 4's preeminence and have cultivated those relationships to the exclusion of everything and everyone else. Everton pop in for a season, as do Spurs and they get a pat on the head because the media easy life gravy train is not challenged.
Along come City and a few quid and everything changes. Not one season wonders like the others. All of a sudden their easy, lazy, work life is under threat. They are driven by fear.
I for one, enjoy their feeble attempts at keeping City in their place and I hope we never become part of their cozy little club and we never feel part of the establishment looking down on everyone else.
