TBH they are becoming a laughing stock in other countries, in my travelling experience (in Europe , that is... I can't speak for Singapore)

As a lot have said, it's not really that they hate us so much as the love the Rags and Dippers... they know that slagging us off will have their fans wanking themselves into a foaming frenzy of delight, giggling to themselves like little schoolgirls!
Take the comments of Andy Cole a few days back – now we know the fucker isn't the sharpest tool in the shed, and he made a 'joke' ...not a very funny one I grant, but an attempt at humour anyway, when he said the Rags should have a cheeky punt for Aguero instead of Kane. Now we all know that it wasn't a serious statement – but go on Newsnow and look at all the links to newspapers such as the Express or Mail headlining it like it could really happen... then the icing on the cake tonight as I was driving home, outside a newsagent the MEN sandwich board carrying a headline about Aguero dismissing United links... What fucking links!?!

Bill: many thanks for underpinning, supporting and articulating the point I am attempting to make.
We do not yet appeal to 'the masses' (but it will come eventually). As it stands the rags, scousers, chavs and gooners do.
This is in no way a criticism of our club merely more of a statement of fact.
It will change over time and therefore so will the coverage that SKY give us.
It's business and business only. When the day comes that the fans and armchair supporters of MCFC will contribute significant revenues and profits
to SKY then they will embrace us.

There is an Agenda.... making money.

which is why there's many negative stories about City as this engages all the Rags/Dippers/Gunners fans into clickbaiting.
Most people aren't aware of this as they just think: hey, news story here, it keeps me entertained, failing to note the reasoning behind a company employing somebody to write the article and publish it on webservers which cost money to operate.

This then further increases the hatred towards City from these club's fans and they start reading this kind of story even more, clicking more news stories about City.

The same applies to let's say Daily Mail and their "immigration" keyword, which targets a certain mindset of people.
Thus making them money.

The actual guy who operates Daily Mails server could be the biggest City fan in the world, or a left wing socialist, but he's paid a decent salary to publish stories about how much City are "moneybag" cunts, or how UKIP are here to save the white race.
