I think it's clear these days that the BBC put on the guise of 'public broadcaster' when they want our money. Truth be told, they are a dog-eat-dog business enterprise whose news bulletins often have a 'news item' about an upcoming, yeah, yer've got it, BBC programme. Mrs Ewing invariably watches The One Show and I constantly interrupt her viewing with comments such as "Are these two (guests!) coming on a BBC programme tonight, or what?" The last thing the BBC actually do is listen to anyone who questions their 'agenda'! They might go through the motions of some PoV offering but it is often dismissed, very politely, by the canute who made the programme. The fallout from that court case with Cliff Richard just typifies who the BBC think they are. They have a script and it's churned out no matter what. The only thing that puzzles me is why Clive hasn't been sacked for wearing a sky blue tie when he reads the news!
