Have a quick look at amnesty international and see how the UAE government treat any dissent in the country. Indeed there are plenty of other examples of countries with terrible human rights records but whataboutery doesn't diminish the facts about the UAE.
I assume you’re referring to the issues that migrant workers face over there?
Whilst I agree it’s poor. The UAE government actually made the process of taking passports illegal. Granted it’s just a law that isn’t really enforced. But it’s the companies that implement that practice. The company building the new Spurs ground are big in the UAE, so they are guilty of it. A good friend of mine worked at the Fairnont on the Palm, she had her passport taken.
I do agree, it’s a sad state of affairs, but surely the nations who’s citizens feel their only hope is the Middle East is the only need to shoulder some blame?
I notice you’re in Brazil, the human rites out there are abysmal, they are all over Latin America.
My main problem is the hypocrisy, the UK, the USA are held up as some sort of bastions of morality and fairness, who the fuck are we to put our beak in?
There maybe thousands of migrant workers in shite conditions in the UAE, there’s thousands of homeless in this country. There’s sex slavery, we use black sites for torture and execution without trial.
American lock children up in cages and remove them from their families. They execute children & the mentally ill.
They refuse aid as a weapon & have a big torture colony on Cuba. Teacher, Doctor or terrorist, you get treated the same.
