From the same scribe in 2016:

"The resources City and United possess mean they should at least be challenging for the title. That should be a given. If they are falling well short of that, they are under-performing, and should ask big questions as to why."

Can't have it both ways. :-)
Apparently they can.
This is a perfect example of the spineless, vacillating so-called journalism that now lays waste to what was once a respected trade.
‘Just appeal to the masses and never be accountable.’

Why is it that the rest of England can't be happy for mancity. This is really becoming ridiculous.

It shows you how effective the media campaign has been against us. If you keep on repeating something often enough people believe it, even if you start out thinking it is absolute bollocks. They talk about financial doping and rinsing, what about media doping and rinsing?

Beauty of the Internet is that it enables everyone, who has the inclination, to see the inconsistencies in what reporters write. I seriously doubt half of these people ever read their past copy nor reflect on the consistency of their logic.

The reason it's hard to see the solution is because we took 10 years to get here.

Khaldoon and co. worked for 4 years before they even got Txiki and Soriano. Then another 4 years before Pep arrived and 2 years under Pep.

Yes, but I read the sentiment to be basically "how can others deal with something that good?"
I thought it was admiring.
