Yeah, the headline is very much click bait, which is one of the reasons it’s still rubbish. That actually wasn't that bad. Usually, anything associated with ESPN is garbage.
I think the media are expecting today's game to play like it's a bye for us. If Burnley win we'll know about it as blues beneath the press box will be drowned in Jizz.
Do people actually pay attention to ESPN?
Here in America (and a few other places they dominate the sport broadcast market), yes, unfortunately, especially for “casual” fans which, for better or worse, the club understandably want to convert.Do people actually pay attention to ESPN?
Ah, yanks. Here in America (and a few other places they dominate the sport broadcast market), yes, unfortunately, especially for “casual” fans which, for better or worse, the club understandably want to convert.
Edit: And this “evil empire” portrayal is especially effective as a negative angle in America based on the culture here skewing heavily to the ‘underdog’ when you have no established affinity.
Really is confounding at times. I’ve gotten into a few heated debates with the self-proclaimed ‘I just love football’ sort that have swallowed the ‘evil empire’ narrative whole.Ah, yanks.
Wouldn't worry about it, more than anything else the yanks follow success.Really is confounding at times. I’ve gotten into a few heated debates with the self-proclaimed ‘I just love football’ sort that have swallowed the ‘evil empire’ narrative whole.
Hey, we've got BT, Sky and the BBC, let's not slate our American cousins too much.Ah, yanks.
Exactly what I tell them.Wouldn't worry about it, more than anything else the yanks follow success.

When a few Americans I know start complaining about NBCSN, I just send them a few links to recent BBC or Sky commentary to match analysis. “Imagine having to listen to this for years.”Hey, we've got BT, Sky and the BBC, let's not slate our American cousins too much.
In my experience, they generally are... but only after the plucky upstarts actually lose, and only if there’s no supposed moral high ground to take. ;-)I thought Yanks were all about the winning and plucky losers can fuck off?
They being mean again?I see Pete the Badge is on the BBC football home page again. They must really like him.
Just childish.They being mean again?
