CRAIG HOPE IN TURIN: There is one reigning champion left in the Champions League: Cristiano Ronaldo. Real Madrid, the holders, are gone,
We have been erased....

Did we really need this from Pep to cry about the atmophere? When we already have an image of empty seats, Emptyhad by media trying to shove this down on everyones throat then Pep comes out and speaks quite a lot about how much better supporters need to be otherwise we cant go trough vs Spurs...

Those journos at the presser I bet they were laughing their ass off of the ideas they will spin it to turn it against City again in dozens of articles.

That's an outstanding misread there.

Barcelona won their league.
Juventus won their league.
Porto won their league.
It's sod all to do with City, and certainly not an omission.

Hope's point is truly crap, but Ronaldo is the only Champions League champion from last season who is still in the competition.

What relevance is that though?

I had to laugh at the **** on Sky Sports with his "only 48,300" as our average for champions league games. No comparison with any other english team or any other european team to give us a yardstick which usually means its nothing out of the ordinary. Like 48k is some kind of shit attendance when it includes home attendances against Hoffenheim, Viktoria Plzeň, Schalke 04, Basel etc particularly when theres fuck all to play for as we've already qualified.
Previous 1/4 finals and our semi against Real were all nearly sold out and the atmospheres really good.
In any event we've sold approx 54.5k for this already so they can fuck off! 209 left - obviously shit support Pep should leave. Another none story.

IMO Pep has every right to say this and demand more from us, the fans. Our support at home is usually average at best. We can be very lazy fans and leave it up to the few who try to give vocal support.

I sometimes think what Pep must make of us. We are watching the best ever City team and yet an awful lot of us continue to sit in silence during our home games.

He wants to give the team the best chance of getting through tomorrow and a fantastic atmosphere will help.

I think a lot of Blues will make an extra effort tomorrow, partly as a result of what our manager has said.

Pissed off with this quiet shit...it's as much the club's fault putting the away section in between our two singing sections instead of sticking them in a corner and not giving us a whole stand behind the goals

Pep would've been quite used to a quiet stadium from his days at Barca!

The polar opposite to our away following which pep seems to be getting more and more engaged with as the season progresses..
