Media coverage 2018/19

From my seat Ederson made more saves than the Spurs keeper. Not saying we were lucky to win, but Spurs had some decent chances.

Ederson made saves you expect him to make. If he were to let any of those in he would rightfully receive blame along with the defender who made the mistake. Spurs couldn’t put a single chance together without the reliance on a mistake from one of our players. Gazzaniga on the other hand had a sitter kicked right at him. Not a good game from us but we fully deserved the 3 points.

Neville and Redknapp really pissed me off today, their punditry was worse than ever. As it's a nice evening and I'm sitting in the garden with a cold drink, I thought I would let Sky know how much they piss me off! Not expecting a reply that addresses any of my complaints, but it's nice to get it off my chest (I might have had a few!):

My Sky subscription costs a lot of money and, having been a customer for over 25 years, I don’t think it’s unreasonable to expect unbiased coverage of the Premier League on Sky.

I get that you want to appeal to the clubs with the biggest support, but what isn’t acceptable is that you do this at the expense of other teams.

The coverage of the Man City/Spurs game today was a case in point. If Messrs Neville and Redknapp cannot disguise their bias, then you should either remove them from the coverage of these particular games, or accept the risk of me taking my business elsewhere.

It can’t be that difficult to find some balance (Craig Bellamy seems to fit the bill and Graeme Souness is generally excellent), but if you continue in this vain, then I will cancel my subscription and find alternative means to watch the club I support - as you probably realise, that isn’t difficult and I would also save a LOT of money.

I can’t end my complaint without referring to Jamie Carragher, who, as I am sure you are aware, is the sort of person who reflects badly on your choice of ‘pundit'. You gave him a chance after the inexcusable spitting incident, but he continues to be an embarrassment and I trust you won’t be renewing his contract.

BBC total glossed over the awful one sided based performance by Oliver today. But did manage to only mention him with S"purs felt City received a generous decision from referee Michael Oliver in the second half when they appealed for handball against Kyle Walker as he challenged with Dele Alli" in the match report. Nothing on his pathetic performance from him, our penalties missed, no bookings for fouls by spurs etc

Nothing about Rose or Vert-i-go trying to injure Bernardo.

Well said, you can't have had too many as there wasn't a single swear word uttered lol

Leave them you won't regret it.

Its depressing how the sky media wankers do actually set the agenda for all other media forms to follow.
The handball will be mentioned as a big break for city, but the pens will most definitely not be. Because sky have decided that is how it shall be.
So true, I’ve not even seen the Bernardo penalty mentioned anywhere despite it being absolutely nailed on.

Don’t know why you bother, lads.

The ONLY thing that matters is the standings after the May 12th games. The. Only. Thing.

We are NEVER going to get a fair shake from the media, because the entrenched interests have not only stacked the punditry/opinion ranks, but the narrative has also already been written. City...Pep...ADUG...FFP...BORING!

The media wants a Liverpool win so badly they can almost taste it! Imagine the story lines, all the old footage they can troop out, all the pundits who will be able to wax lyrical, etc, etc, etc...

City need to do one thing: WIN GAMES.

Brilliant post and absolutely to the point..and for anyone tuning in to the Cardiff game tomorrow just sit and listen to the difference in commentary and on the pitch from the ref to our game at lunchtime...

It isn’t SHOUTING, it’s EMPHASIS!

Anyway, on match days, EVERYONE is entitled to little SHOUTING, aren’t they? ;-)

Shredded nerves are making me need a lie down, not your protestations, OK? OK!

I’m off to my room. Voluntarily. Not because you said so. I WANT to go to my room. Yikes, I can’t stop!!! Help!

:-D
