"Fraction of the budget"

That reasoning would stop at Leicester

I’d love to see a comparison of current squad values.

I’m looking forward to the years ahead, think we will spend less as we tweak the squad year on year.

I’m absolutely convinced that the media will cover this by extending the years used to keep city top of the pile. Just keep feeding the negative narrative.

According to The Guardian, an unprecedented domestic treble would be bittersweet.

As if it would be described like that for any club other than City.

Both from today's paper -

The Guardian on Liverpool possibly winning nothing this year-

"This is not just a bittersweet title race"

The Guardian on Manchester City winning the first domestic treble in English football history as well as being the first club to defend the league in 10 years, picking up the 2 highest points totals in history back to back-

"Manchester City left chasing bittersweet treble".
And scoring the highest number of goals in football history!

Transfermark has our current squad value at £1.02bn and the Rags at £815m. A healthy increase in value for us of almost £200m. More great investment by our successful owner who has already trebled the value of his original investment in the club and that doesn't include the huge profits he is making from his non-football property deals in Manchester. Our enemies like to call him a sugar daddy but he is just a smart businessman who knows how to make money and create jobs. None of our profits come from oil either.

Standard that this positive aspect of our recruitment would not be heavily advertised.

We have so many players whose current value is significantly above what we paid for them irrespective of transfer inflation.

For that to happen, Liverpool would have to win two and lose three of their last two games scoring six and conceding two, and we’d have to draw five of our last two games 0-0.

I’d say that really was unlikely, you could go as far to say it was impossible!

They don't separate teams past goals scored, games won doesn't come into it.

I thought it went:
Points
Goal difference
Goals scored
Games won

And playoffs could only happen if every single facet was equal from all the above, plus games drawn, games lost and goals conceded.

Nope, it stops at goals scored. UEFA competitions go from head to head all the way through to games won and then coefficient.

If the worse were to happen and we where equal on points and goal difference do we not win it because of head to head against dippers?
