Media Discussion - 2023/24

My own plan would be to allow higher spending for a limited period, say 10 years, but that spending should be heavily weighted towards youth development through modern academies as we are doing ever so successfully. It works for us and while it's only a very small number of youngsters who reach the top, there will be many others who could be found suitable clubs at a lower level and they could hopefully find good careers there.
It could also help smaller clubs who would have less need to find their own talent through their own loss making facilities and hopefully the whole 92 club structure would become a perfect and sustainable model.

Now back to more pie in the sky thinking...
Isn't academy infrastructure already exempted from FFP/PSR?

You can see Masters and Rick Parry squirming in front of the commons select committee tomorrow. They are due to be on at 10am and should be on the Parliament TV Channel. Their last appearance was quite entertaining. The all-party committee would appear to have their cards well and truly marked.

Just took a look at the landing page for BBC Sport on their website and front and centre headline is about Lionel Messi winning the best male player at the FIFA awards. You have to click on the article to find out Pep’s award. Ederson’s award is almost lost in a single sentence.

Its just bizarre.
