Another Rag Shill at the Daily United.

Guardiola certainly doesn’t and his was a particularly interesting case. He twice tested positive for the steroid nandrolone in 2001, when he played for Brescia in Italy.

Among other consequences of that saga, he was given a seven-month suspended prison sentence, but he maintained his innocence, challenged the findings, lost an appeal that had been based on a contamination defence, and then in 2009 he was acquitted by the courts of any wrongdoing.
What’s worse than the shite article is the fact that the Mail think it’s such an exciting story that they‘ve made it the headline story on their sports pages, just as a way of throwing some more shit at City.

He had to go all the way back to Pep's playing days to use Pep as an example and to make a point of it.

Most notable situations of run ins with drug testers is a lot closer to home. No one seems to talk about Rio Ferdinand, why did he have to go running when they turned up at Carrington?

When Neville is making statements questioning how clean some of the teams he played against. How did a specimen like Rooney who smoked, drank and ate all the way through his career run around like the bionic man in the 2000s?

The Guardian.. What does a double-treble say about the health of football?

Erm, Since we have already won the treble last season the "double treble" odds must be exactly the same as winning the treble again this season! I can't actually believe he didn't realise that when writing the piece!
So he actually lied because since no book would offer that bet he couldn't have found the 9/1 he qouted.
And in actual fact the odds of the treble this season are 14/1.
Sensationalist journalism at it's finest.

“ It is a little overlooked but there is a perfect fit between the Guardiola style, which is about control first of all, mastering the ball, destroying the variables that might bring defeat and the billionaire-ball model of City’s nation-state owners, which also involves creating a structure of such impenetrable wealth that its aim is to remove the possibility of defeat”
Above is another quote from Barmy Ronay’s Guardian article.
In summary it’s a load of pretentious waffle, slipping in the City bingo nation state falsehood and the conclusion quoted above seems to be critical of the fact that Pep does a great job with the team and the executive board do a great job administering the business.

Also, if it were more likely to happen than not, we would presumably be odds-on, rather than 9/1 against (not verified).
As others have said, if it were a possibility for the rags or dippers the media, en masse, would be heralding a new historic peak of sporting achievement, rather than the death knoll for football...

All this crap about how easy it is for us to dominate football when most fans actually realise the difficulty of retaining the PL. it’s Pep’s drive and unrelenting pursuit of trophies and playing his way that sets him aside from other Managers.

However, the media pass it off ass an easy task aided and abetted by cheating, using state money and having the biggest squad, all of which are incorrect of course.

How come though Emma Hayes who manages the Chav’s ladies team and is going for 5 titles in a row is lauded and revered by the same media? It’s a good achievement but why no criticism of the Chav’s ruining Ladies football with their dominance?

If any of the Redshirts were in our position the media would be waxing lyrical about their achievements and there would no absolutely no criticism, just arse licking.
