Ed Balls interviewing Lucy Frazer would not be a good time to lose your TV remote.ITV just had Culture Secretary Lucy Frazer on, in an interview about the independent regulator. They seemed to be trying to get her off the subject of protecting small clubs from the start, on to state ownership and super rich owners.
Ed Balls, was trying to corner her and draw parallels between the government stance on the Independent(news outlet) takeover and that of Manchester City's ownership: 'They're both owned by the UAE why are the government against a newspaper being owned by a state but not a football club' Was the gist of his argument.
She didn't seem well informed enough/equipped enough to give him a full rebuttal, one that explained everything wrong with his question. She only half explained why a news outlet being owned by a state is different from a football club, freedom of the press being the justification.
I wish someone would have the 'balls'(no pun) to point out that the big sly 3 have been using the main stream media for their soft power purposes for many years now. The whole: 'what about City, there's 115 charges don't you know?' campaign has been orchestrated by them. I wouldn't be surprised if we found out this is all they wanted, that the PL have no evidence, that they are the ones that want this hearing pushed back as far as possible, so the free for all can continue.
When I look at how useless OFCOM appear to be, allowing free for alls, zero balance coverage and trials by media on football clubs, that last years. I have to wonder if we are being a little too optimistic, on the positive changes it will bring, such as ending the control the big red 3 seem to hold over how the PL is ran.
I love your optimismSomeone reported they are being investigated over unpaid tax. If thats true and they end up being found guilty, then I would hope that would put an end to any chance of public funding for the new swamp.
We hear it on here too, blues that have been gaslit by the media into thinking Klipperty is one of the greats. One title in 9 years, spent a fortune and has the mental age of an obstructive teenager.
Giving him millions to play for HullAlways liked Danny ‘sick note’ mills.
For his rant, I can forgive the club paying him millions -:)
utd 1 QPR 4 on Ferguson's 50th birthdayDaily Mail in full on wank mode for United this morning five pages full of it, including feature on ten best games at OT. Surprise surprise everyone was a rags win including two against us. In the interest of balance I will put a few in of my own.
1 City 6 Utd 1 the day Fergies world fell apart and he started to plan his retirement.
2 Utd 1 City 3. George Bests early goal brushed aside as we take a giant stride towards the title.
3Leeds 1 Chelsea 2 simply the greatest FA cup final ever.
4Utd 2 York 3 a league cup shock and slap in the arse for Fergie
5Utd 1 Leeds 3 an FA cup shock and another Yorkshire slap on Fergies arse.
Lots more and other blues will have there own favourites, but think I've provided a more balanced list than that shite Tory rag provided. If they insist they can have Sundays game as its always fun to see the dippers stuffed.
It's incredible that nobody in this debate mentions at all Liverpool's inconsistency. In his first three seasons they were 21, 17 and 25 points behind the champions. In the next two seasons they managed somehow to be only one point behind and then champions by 18 points. The next season they were 17 points behind the champions and then they were right back one point behind the following season. Last season they were 22 poins hehind and this year they are right back again.

Who is blowing the smoke up bingos and scouse arse to even suggest he's anywhere near what constitutes a great manager. Liverpool have accumulated 7 points more than spurs in a 10 year period.
