If only...

"And it's even more difficult when coming up against the City's £1bn squad"

"Spending that is enabled by their Abu Dhabi investors that has fuelled unprecedented dominance but also an unprecedented Premier League investigation." (note Abu Dhabi investors, rather than state owned but then have they ever referred to the Glazers as US investors?)

"Judgement day awaits, though maybe still months away.
Talk of punishments – this season saw Everton and Nottingham Forest docked points for overspending – is on hold.
So for some is the verdict on this entire period of such superiority on the pitch." (Talk of punishments? Are we not allowed to present our case to the IC first then Rob?)

"Now there’s little stopping the juggernaut for the 10 times champions of English football – on the pitch at least." (And there we have it, the overriding reason for the charges, sod all to do with guilt or not)

I've wondered for a while why it's all framed as being about the Abu Dhabi input. Okay, 10 years ago there was the Beat the FFP Trapdoor spending, but now? It's what - Etihad sponsorship and some smaller ones?
PL prize money/TV money is more than that.
UEFA prize money/TV money is more than that.

I'm not sure of the split, but it's the UEFA money that puts City's income so high, just as it always did for the CL clubs.

Remember when they used to write that City must win after spending so much…..

So what’s he think Chelsea, Arsenal & the Rags excuse.

They've lost all credibility now, not that they had a lot to start with. The jealousy and mud slinging have been incessant from the first time we became a threat. The biggest lie is we have unprecedented wealth and can just go out and buy anybody we want. I think we had about three years of that being the case before the powers that be ran panic stricken to draw up ffp rules to stop us. Since then we have only been able to spend what we earn. That doesn't stop them continued to peddle this lie.

Now it's the ridiculous 115 charges. Unlimited wealth, state owned, biggest squad, charges, anything rather than admit we have beaten them over and over, fairly and squarely in the only place it matters. On the pitch.

You know what else I thought about after. How tight we are, how many of those stories came out? Of all the things leaked, when things are going well no one’s hearing anything other than Haaland off to Madrid & 115.

It's impressive, isn't it? I bet it annoys the more gossipy.

I expect that the club/management set out advice to start with about the media, and the players remember the burning in the past and reinforce it with newcomers.

The interview Walker gave said a lot - the players are all in it together with not much in the way of egos. Grealish too speaks so well about his self-perceived failings.

We’d better be fucking innocent of all 115 allegations, cos the hatred for us whilst they are only allegations is off the scale, wtf would it be like IF any of them are proven?

So I've just woke up after a great day and night celebrating something no other club has done before and decided to browse the media. Ohhh does the bitter jealousy and hatred run deep. That Liew turd at the guardian tops the toilet bowl. Yes I know I shouldn't give them airtime but curiosity got the better of me. If you go and read it take your blood pressure tablets first. This is his opening paragraph. What a ****.

The Guardiola supremacy: how City became too good for their own good
A seventh title in 10 years is proof of how incredible wealth has eroded any sense of competitive balance in the Premier League.

Just fuck off you utter scrote.
He must be under twenty years of age and not able to read anything historical about English top flight football. How many times did the Rags break the English transfer record? How many Rag and Dipper titles were won on the back of both good football and hefty business in the transfer market that 'eroded any competitive edge in the old Div 1 and in the PL?. No sign of these kind of articles then nor were there any moves to put a stranglehold on clubs spending their own money.

I checked the BBC website yesterday and looked up the Scores and Fixtures page pre-kick off. When I scrolled down there was a graphic of Dipper paraphernalia, scarves 'n shirts with KLOPP in the middle. I checked every other fixture page and it wasn't there - not even on the Dipper fixture page. Some Dipper **** working on the BBC football pages has gratuitouly dumped that crap on our page. We wouldn't click on the Dipper page so let's bring the Dipper page to Beswick.
