It seems he may be doubtful they could raise enough money on stadium naming rights and they have huge debts that I assume would rise to catastrophic levels if they had to fund even part of it themselves.Why the fuck can’t people reply to scruffy Jim with candour. Ineos not Sir Jim per se...have set aside £240 mill for 'stadium redevelopment', this was enshrined within the offer.It seems he may be doubtful they could raise enough money on stadium naming rights and they have huge debts that I assume would rise to catastrophic levels if they had to fund even part of it themselves.

but that's not strictly true now, is it.You've got this backwards, Scruffy Jim wants some public/private finance bollocks to build the stadium, he wants the government to pick up the lions share of the tab. Starmer says no, but he won't stand in his way, he'll facilitate Scruffy building and paying for the stadium himself, but only by stumping up government money for a few extra trams and the odd bit of tarmac, peanuts in the scheme of things.
