Yes, but not specifically aimed at lineker. The BBC regularly feed numerous misleading or poorly researched news stories, at least going off what I see on youtube. Going off his ramblings, he just shouts out his lunatic views without accepting that anyone else has a right to disagree with him.
I don't think you can call out Lineker for spouting his lunatic views here. He comes across as quite a centre left type. Never heard anything extreme from him.

But as a club we are partly to blame. We simply don't appear to have a PR department. We have a very active 'social media' department, but when it comes to getting and putting out positive articles about our club into the press and other media outlets, we are absolutely none existent, and have been since the takeover. As much as we despise them, the rags and the scousers are truly light years ahead of us on this one. Our PR department is about as good as our ticket office.
I have no gripe with our PR department not getting involved. I actually think that’s an extremely professional way of dealing with the hate brigade, just ignore the ba…ards. I try hard to ignore them, but every now and then I let it out on here!

Across all their national and local radio stations, their iplayer back catalogue and all the tv output they represent great value for money for the cost of the licence and I’m more than happy to pay for it.
Go and watch and listen to what’s on offer in some other countries like the USA as a comparison.

Agreed. But that doesn't change the situation that our PR team (if we have one) are totally ineffective and have been since the takeover. As a club we are now demonised by the media. It's to late to change things now. Its gone past the point of no return. We are FFP, oil cheats, who's success has been made possible by petro dollars. The stadium is always empty and the fans are plastics. That's the media narrative and it has stuck. We have won on the field. But we have been absolutely trounced off it.
Stop worrying about knobheads on social media and just enjoy the ride, there's a long way to go.
When you have a discussion with someone face to face they in general understand.

Just caught some of Deadline Day coverage on Sly. Some Ushited card carrying wanker called Flex commenting on City’s transfer business.
WTF Sky? It’s low even by your usual standards.
For the record Flex is the biggest wanker I’ve seen on TV ever so congratulations for that. Clearly social media has a lot to answer for

Got nothing to do with PR departments.

It’s everything to do with clicks / engagement / advertising $$$.

The minute positive City pieces get more clicks than snide ones the agenda will stop.
Exactly.
Why do you think there is so many negative articles about City across all media channels? Because it drives clicks from rags, scousers and Arsenal supporters (amongst others). If it didn't they obviously wouldn't write them.
