2 Liverpool fans who happen to lecture on law in Sheffield want the PL to be sure they have proper evidence to convict city. Their feeling is that the charges were brought to show that PL execs are hard cunts who take no shit…and prior to the govt bringing in an external body to take over PL housekeeping relating to regulating members.
The horse has bolted on "being sure they have evidence to convict" the club. The process is in place. What are they going to do? Say "Sorry, we were just joking. All the charges are off". The time for that was before they referred the alleged breaches to the panel.

And, as for "any outcome causing a mutiny", what does that even mean? If we are found guilty and relegated to the Conference with the senior executives in jail, exactly who is going to mutiny and from what?

As for the article, it was poorly written and most of it, apart from the above, fairly neutral. Bit of a nothing-burger really.

Matthew 'City fans are vicious rats' Syed, ladies and gentlemen...

Just posted this in the thread about Rubiales in the General Football Forum.

I can say, as both an English and Spanish football obsessive that has followed the women’s team’s plight for some time before the latest incident, that Rubiales is a misogynistic, fascist, corrupt, sex-pest, man-child that deserves ousting for many, many reasons.

And Matthew Syed is a vile misogynist hypocritical **** that loves to fervently defend people like Rubiales.

Can someone please summarise, as I flatly refuse to give that Rag biased toilet paper, or any other Reach plc publication internet clicks?
I have just read it and can be summarised thus:

It includes no new information of any kind and is merely an article tenuously written around two Liverpool lecturers general statements about proceedings, intended to remind readers that Manchester City have been charged by the Premier League for “serious financial misconduct”.

I love the line ‘numerous clubs fighting to be the best’ when the truth is it‘s numerous clubs fighting to stop City being the best.
There‘s a world of difference.

Syed's answer - Yes, Yes, Yes, but apart from that, why shouldn't they be running a women's football team.

I knew he was a ****, but he's really going for the full monty.
