Dont normally listen to Talkshite they are basically wind up merchants ,but was in a taxi and it was on this morning Simon Jordan and pigeye Murphy drolling on about how we will never be as big as the Dippers or Rags
I don't know about anyone else but despite having seen my team win 5 of the last 6 PL titles, a domestic clean sweep and a PL/FA Cup/CL treble, I still go to bed crying that we'll never be bigger than them in Asia.

Exactly, what constitutes the success of a club. Surely all you want as a fan is trophies. Who gives a flying fuck how many shirts you sell.

Think back to Sheik Mansour's takeover - who really thought City would dominate England's (and hopefully, European) club football, for such a long time ?
Me, honestly I did, without a word of a lie, it was never in doubt.
I came home from work and told Mrs Manchester, this is it. We danced round the room singing " who the fxck are man united;-)

Yes, because that's where we were when he took us over .... the absolute fuckwitted bellend.

Personally, I couldn't give a toss if nobody considers us a "big" club... I'd rather stay small and just keep hoovering up the silverware!
It does make me chuckle though, when bell-ends like Jordan, Murphy or any media mouthpieces and opposition fans spout shite like this!!!
"City will never be as big as United/Liverpool etc. etc." ...but they never say why or more importantly adddress why these clubs are considered "big"!
United and Liverpool are so popular because they won lots of shiny trophies... simple as that! Liverpool won lots of titles and European Cups, United were fortunate to win just as Sky started broadcasting worldwide and generations of plastics grew up knowing nothing but Rag success... but it's City that are now winning a lot - conisistently for more than a decade now... and as others have mentioned, with Haaland (who is a legitimate superstar - kids love him) we are the increasingly popular choice for the younger generations... there are indeed increasing amounts of City shirts showing up everywhere nowadays – it's the nature of football nowadays, look at pricks like Goldstein and Goldbridge... the simple reason they support the Rags is they were good when they were young – so why do they try and dismiss the fact that City are now that team?
Personally i don't want fans from Plymouth, support your local team ..utd and Liverpool never understand that. Pair of capitalist wankers stealing from small clubs purses

37 attempts at goal v 3 attempts at goal, we scraped through!

In other news I used to think there was a bond between City and Rangers, certainly was in the 70s and 80s; that news certainly hasn’t reached Ally McCoist, just watched the goals on tv, the only goal the fucker got excited about was our opponents scored
City have as much or more affinity with Celtic, ...most of the music stalwarts in the town are irish roots blues and Celtic tinged...Marr, O'rouke = Smiths, Billy Duffy, Gallaghers. List goes on. Blue here from North Manchester ..atcmy Catholic school and team easily as many blues who preferrred Celtic to Rangers, seems strange this Rangers myth
