Yeh but she hasn't gone round touting her shirt sales and generally proclaiming hersrlf as the star of the world cup to promote sales ! Oh forgot dressing like some five bob hoar at the ceremony !
She went dressed as frost?

How did she manage that?

Would you rather watch Mainoo play for England against Leichenstein or Bobb play for City against Shinzeng Tigers ?

No need to answer
I think, whether we like it or not, the global trend is towards club football and away from meaningless international fixtures. Youngsters these days follow individual players and their clubs. Perhaps this is not a good thing but it is a reality and social media has changed everything. My gut feeling is that eventually the Club World Cup (in its new format) will rival (perhaps even overtake) the CL and City may as well be in on it from the beginning.
Don't forget that in the 1950s the English Football League, and many English clubs. were so arrogant they snubbed the early years of European football. To their credit United, under Matt Busby, were pioneers in the face of much criticism. The people who run football, and their client journalists, have always been slow to react and stuck in the past. I think this new FIFA event in 2025 is a great opportunity for progressive clubs like City.

I totally agree. When the likes of Andorra, Malta and the one in Italy can play in a so called major competition, you cannot blame clubs who play meaningless matches. Money sadly rules. I would rather have watched City in the League Cup last night but those days have long gone. We either lead or get left behind.
Plus, the press don't pick the City team but they pick the England team, hence my Mainoo reference.

Who do the bitter cunts want us to play?
We drew Bayern in the QF and R Madrid in the SF last season and thrashed them both, but apparently we were still lucky to win the whole thing.

These haters are a fucking joke, they just want clicks from the narrow minded fuckwit red fans, whose teams served some of up the biggest pile of shit the PL has ever seen last weekend.

The media in this country should be fucking embarrassed for constantly arse kissing that lot...fuck em all!

Note that BBC match report last night had to include this:
The gulf in class between the sides was underlined by Urawa boss Maciej Skorza summoning former Ross County forward Alex Schalk from his bench as his team chased the game.
In contrast Guardiola had Alvarez, Ruben Dias, Josko Gvardiol and the out-of-favour Kalvin Phillips in reserve, while Nunes, a £53m summer arrival from Wolves, cost City more than it took to assemble the entire Urawa squad.

Now they have never mentioned this for any Rag or Dipper game, esp Dippers playing Thursday night v teams with zero transfer spend and nothing mentioned at all in any reports about the huge gulf in costs for thier games.
I really wish the club banned BBC and Mail from the ground as its unrelenting with those 2 especially

The PL is only concerned because the FIFA Club World Cup is a commercial threat to them. Masters and his cronies are in the pockets of LFC and MUFC who have both failed to quality. Presumably the Directors of those clubs, along with Levy, have been whispering in Masters' ear again. Our enemies are gutted that City could earn an extra £150m from winning the FIFA event which is more than the PL and the CL offers.
FIFA are determined to make the new Club World Cup as successful as their existing international World Cup and I think it will be huge in the future. For City it will provide the best possible pre-season build-up. It will cement our position with the fastest-growing fanbase in North (and South) America. I am looking forward to it, no matter how much the English media try to distort their coverage of it.
The worm has turned. The extra revenue will cement us at the top of football regardless of what the PL do.

Thanks for this. There was mention of the deleted tweet being potentially libellous. I don't see that in this tweet.
Probably had a warning from UEFAs legal team. That tweet could imply draw is fixed and they're handing us favourable draws.

Not something I think we'd be bothered about, but that would piss UEFA off intensely I would imagine

Pretty disrespectful to the South American champions this, just so that The Telegraph can cheapen our achievements should we win another trophy on Friday.

Just very strange, even for the Telegraph. Constant derision about the sport which drives their commercial revenues. Trying to undermine everything City achieve. The Club World Cup has existed for decades. Why is it such a problem for the Champions of Europe to play a match against the Champions of South America? What is driving this relentless negative narrative from the English media (and it is only the English media)? Their coverage is totally incoherent. Presumablly they will be publishing a match report in the hope it will drive some commercial revenues. No wonder so many of these media groups are dying.
