Been thinking about the coverage Forest are getting for having a really good season. But can't help wondering why the media is not criticizing them due to them being investigated, accused, found guilty and fined for breaking the financial rules a couple of years ago when they built this squad.

because they know that forest wont be a consistent threat, this is forests leicester season just like villa did last year, every now and again the pl like one of the so called smaller teams to have a good season to give the illusion that its a fair competition and then they can go back to midtable mediocrity where the cartel believe they belong, what they dont like is a consistent and constant threat to the established order, this is why they havent ever really ever gone after villa, newcastle etc, because they havent become a constant threat yet.

It might be understandable but I still don’t like it.
And to say I don’t want City to be able to save their season with it, is blatant AF from a supposed neutral journalist (not fan) on media duties. And it’s not for them to tell us how much it will or won’t mean to us to win it.

Replace us with Liverpool, Arsenal, united etc and it would be the same - everyone would be hoping for an unusual team to win it. It's normal and no big deal

I know it all sounds grand when you look at people saying that they want anyone to win it apart from City, but you have to put it into context to see the truth don't you?

If the scouse were still in it the constant quad reminders would be unbearable and if the rags were still in it then the rhetoric wouldn't be much different. He doesn't. His son is a huge City fan but by saying what they say it keeps the narrative there.
They don't want us to win it because they know it would be a decent season for us as poor as we have been at times. The hacks would hate it. Now..imagine if the rags win the Europa? Imagine how different the take would be.
