Blimey! I can't stand it, I have an irrational dislike of that colour and it is all because of footballing reasons. I even rearrange chairs in the break room at work so that I don't have to sit on any that are even vaguely red looking. It's a bit pathetic really, each to their own I suppose.
When I was a kid I refused to wear anything red , even turning down the opportunity to play football for the school cos their kit had red shorts , still stuck by these principles

Maybe she's one of the lucky ones who doesn't allow her whole life to be dictated by football. I envy and admire her in equal measure.
Yes, I realise that view exists - mostly among a portion of shandy-drinking Southern softies - but, for a mature teenager such as her, I really think it's time that she manned-up, or sought appropriate therapy. Perhaps when puberty is complete, she'll snap herself out of it.

On the contrary, that's a very rational reaction, and perfectly normal. 55 year old teenager is clearly in need of treatment for her disorder, and until cured, she has my deep sympathy.
She, @55yr old teenager deserves banning from this forum because since I read her post this morning I've not stopped singing that awful Chris Deburgh song.

That's very sad to hear. It might help if, when you get to the start of the chorus, you substitute the word "Scum" instead of "The" - trust me, it makes the song much more palatable - altogether now: -

"Scum lady in red
Is dancing with me...."

Could be number 1 again, I feel.

That's a bit rude to our lovely Blue teenager but I get your basic idea
