There'll be a vague reference to Spurs winning. Then it'll be the usual What we learned and What next for the Red Devils bollocks . Lol.
Don’t you mean a list of mental rags? The footy media will be busy writing their "a win for football" headlines as we speak.
Honestly, the worst "footballing" game I have seen in a long time.
Just glad the rags lost.
Im just compiling a mental list of rags I need to bump into, once they rear their ugly heads.
BBC gone straight in with a Phil Foden meltdown storyThey'll be dusting off the 115 headlines tonight.
They can dress it up how they like in the media but they can't avoid the fact the rags have had their worst season for 50years
No excuses fact.
They are just so weird. Main two headlines are Spurs' season and Foden's troubles, then a smaller article about Amorim. The fact that United were Spurs' opponents is barely mentioned, nor any critical analysis about their season. Independent, my *rse.BBC gone straight in with a Phil Foden meltdown story
Fine example of polishing the turd . Thank you .Steve Ogden BBC. " losing might be a good thing in the long term"
Very strange, my BBC news football has Barca women story, Phil's struggles this season, Southend beating Forest Green and Flick extending his control but no mention of the rags losing last night. It is mentioned as the 10th story down in the ordinary news. Now imagine they had won, the number of articles. Or if City had lost. The various gloating stories, the winding up of Pep by the reporters at the end of the game reported on the national news. But, nothing...BBC gone straight in with a Phil Foden meltdown story
Yep, park the bus anti football has won two cups this week , and Southampton did a lap of honour after scraping a draw playing the sameI'm going to say last night warmed my head , heart , fingers and toes . Mourinho is reincarnated as an outspoken Aussie who deploys a Level 3 version of anti football / park the bus / disrupt , dispute and destroy to foil the most woeful United team I've seen in sixty years of following football . Not a pretty watch but enjoyable in the extreme . It's still hard to rejoice a Tottenham win ( FACup Final replay / CL fiasco ) but , hey , anyone beating that apology for a football team / club and kicking them off the park in the process gets my vote .
Not exactly The United Way or Glory Glory Tottenham . Mourinho clearly in the DNA of both teams like a persistent genetic mutation , conferring some evolutionary advantage in a moment of jeopardy.Something on my home page from Pete Hall in the i included:
"As former World Cup winner turned acclaimed pundit and writer Jorge Valdano once said of English teams in European football, the quality on show in a mistake-ridden Bilbao final was like a “shit hanging from a stick”. United contributing the most excrement"
It's a pity there is no way to bottle it ( and I don't mean the scum performance) to revisit every time we need an instant laugh.I've actually forced myself to listen to Talksport purely to hear the moaning and cryarsing from Dagenham Dave to Birmingham Bob and sure enough they've all rang in.
Oh, it's beautiful.
