The perfect storm:
The UK hates winners.
The UK doesn't like Johnny Foreigner with his big ideas.
The press want to sell papers and generate clicks.

We are serial winners.
We have upset the red cartel applecart.
Positive articles about the red cartel generate more clicks.
Negative articles about the enemy of the red cartel generate more clicks.
Johnny Foreigner has changed the game invented in England.
We have been waiting for Johnny Foreigner to fail since we said his methods could never work here.
Brown men have challenged the rules designed to stop them.

Understanding that the UK press is ONLY about clicks and likes makes all the negativity against us today's chip wrapper. It is not borne of integrity; it is not driven by fair play; it is not genuine; it is deliberately antagonistic because that generates revenue. At its heart is profit - nothing else.

A follow up mail from the wankers at the BBC

Dear BBC User,

Thank you for contacting the BBC.

In this instance, we believe the moderator made the correct decision so we will be unable to uphold your appeal. The comment was deemed to be either off topic or derailing the conversation onto a different subject.

Derailing the subject or off topic, calling them Neanderthal Man couldn't have been more on topic if it tried, they really are just a bunch of cunts.
Start saving them all, compile it all into a book, publish it, sell it, make money, expose the paedo protectors at the Beeb (again), and finally have all your HYS comments in the public domain.

I'd buy it anyway.

Appreciate that David Coote was certainly a silly sausage with the videos of his off-field pursuits.
But, if he had criticised a manager of say West Ham, Everton, Wolves etc, would he have received the same amount of outrage from the Media ?
If he'd said the same thing about Guardiola 'n City he'd be the next in line for the top PiGMOL job once it's clear Howie Redshirt has finally run out of reasons why it was a pen for the Rags but not for any team wearing blue!

Well said. 100% correct

Noticed an "article" in the oirish times yesterday, the headline was along the lines of pep-ball is ruining football.......

The bigoted media are utterly out of touch with most people, unfortunately the gaurdion and the heil have a large online presence especially with yank xenophobes.

It is virtually all driven by online clickbait which drives revenues. These media firms are all struggling to survive because their print versions have such tiny audiences compared to the online versions. The biggest global audience is from L FC and MUFC fans. A positive story about United is read by all their fans (and ignored by everyone else) A positive story about Liverpool is read by their fans and so on. But a negative story about City is read by LFC and MUFC fans plus all the other fans who hate us. And this is the biggest audience. When you add in the racial element from all the Little Englanders out there it just adds more to the commercial opportunity.
Nailed it. You can easily quantify it as well.

Look at the engagement on Twitter that Sam Wallace (Telegraph) gets for a story about, say, an England game. Then compare that to the engagement he gets for a City-related story. The latter gets vastly more views and likes, often by a factor of ten or more. They will actually be judged, and sometimes even remunerated, on this basis.

His editor will say "Sam, your average engagement is well down this week so you need to boost it. Our SEO executive says your stories about City's PL charges usually do the trick so bash one of those out, the more lurid and apocalyptic the better. There's a good lad".

So whores is not a million miles wide of a description for them, except that most whores are more genuine than journalists.

But we've said this for years about Talkshite. Two presenters, one playing the good cop and the other one the bad cop. That's the way they drive engagement, in their case via phone calls rather than clicks.
