I was a sub for a while in the print days and it was fascinating, designing pages, editing copy and then finding a perfect headline within very strict space and word count constraints
And you wouldn’t believe the absolute state of the illiterate gibberish turned in by certain well known journalists on huge salaries
Sometimes what they turned in looked like the result of an epileptic baboon shitting all over the keyboard then rolling about in it

Advertising pays for the radio station and its employees. It's too late to address this time, but I would think these advertisers will be well aware at the next negotiation.

Yes the headline is clearly designed to appease the masses. And if it turns out that he is responsible for it (as opposed to his editor), I'm surprised at him.

When I left school my first job was Stock Control clerk and I remember fondly an older Scouser who really was very funny and one of his sayings when saying someone was stupid was ;
