It doesn't have to be en masse. They've got spotters all over the away end - and don't be surprised if City have too - and just a single person saying something can lead to them getting nicked. I had to have a word with 2 fans on Sunday who were chanting "Murderers" in response to the "Liverpool" chant because it could've seen them get lifted. And yes, for some reason Murderers is classed as a tragedy chant over there even though it's about Heysel and not Hillsborough, and is effectively a reverse tragedy chant given that it mocks the perpetrators rather than the victims. How do I know this? Well, a mate of mine got arrested for it last season and was originally slapped with a 3 year FBO. He got a lawyer involved who successfully drove a coach and horses through the prosecution case as there were holes in it, and as such got the FBO removed and a more lenient punishment handed down. Yet City have still banned him for 3 years and said what he did was equivalent to racism FFS! Oh, and while he was banned by City pending the appeal they were still taking his season ticket direct debit money AND his cup scheme money.

Got a story with City far worse with albeit a slightly better ending. City are great aren't they, publicly talking about us being innocent until proven guilty, but they treat their fans as guilty as their first course of action.

Rory Smith, a journalist of some sort, has said several times over the last few weeks that the way Pep has managed his squad over the last few years is he would play a player for a run of games and then put them away for 2 or 3 months on the bench and save them for later in the season. He has used De Bruyne, Akanji and Silva as examples.

Its pure bullshit. The only one that I can think of who has been handled like this is possibly Stones, but it wouldn't be 3 months as he keeps saying

De Bruyne when fit plays in most games, and Silva may get a rest for one or two but certainly not 3 months.

Rory Smith is a boring rent-a-gob who adds nothing of value to any programme on which he is fortunate enough to appear. Sadly, though, there are many who are far worse.

Yet they will come to the Etihad later in the season, throw stuff at our fans, sing about Harold Shipman, sing Manchester is full of shit etc, and not one of them will be arrested.

Don't remember any Celtic fans being arrested after thousands of them sung about the murder of Lee Rigby (whose family are apparently Middleton Blues) at the Etihad. I left that match at half time along with plenty of sickened City fans. We got the full racist songbook that night...and not from a small minority.

standard club tactic that, did it with me when I was under police bail a full 12 months of taking money off me until the police then slapped me with a 5 year FBO.

We asked for the money back, for the 12 months of football that I couldnt go yet was paying for it, did the club pay it back? Have they fuck.

Good thing for your mate is this, he only has a club ban, he can still go in the ground and surrounding areas, the club can only have him escourted out the ground thats it.
