What is this latest shit that every media outlet is now doing. They print about five paragraphs of absolute shite before they get to the main headline. It does my fucking head in!
Although Alyson Rudd did play for Orient and is a qualified coach and referee. Mind you, as she was born in Liverpool all that is completely negated by the slavish adherence to the way of the Cult……100%.
People should understand that most journalists have no actual qualifications or experience in any subject apart from English lit. They are sometimes good at persuasive writing where it makes them sound insightful but when you critically think about it, it's stupid as shit.
The top political journalist at the BBC is a wealthy/privately educated women who studied history with a focus on Scottish rebellions under the Bruces and now apparently that qualifies her to interview all the top cabinet posts.
The top football writer at the BBC has no experience in football, no coaching experience, no sports science experience, no playing experience. But we are told his views every week and he gets to question Pep Guardiola.
The whole system is stupid as fuck. You've got people who don't know what they're talking about, writing about people who do, and telling them what they should be doing better
I agree but what is different now from the past? I grew up reading David Lacey in the Guardian and Bob Russell in the Mirror and Patrick Barclay and James Lawton etc.. I'm not sure what qualifications they had either but I'm pretty sure they would have worked their way up from junior level and the writing then was focused on the drama created by the game itself and the context in which it was played. There certainly didn't seem to be prec9nceived ideas or bias. Compared to the appallingly money oriented biased drivel we read nowadays.100%.

I'm not sure playing amateur football once a week for a few years and taking a 2 week course qualifies you to advise Pep GuardiolaAlthough Alyson Rudd did play for Orient and is a qualified coach and referee. Better qualified than (almost) everybody on the matchday threads. Doesn't seem to impede them at all.I'm not sure playing amateur football once a week for a few years and taking a 2 week course qualifies you to advise Pep Guardiola
They don't get paid 6 figures and given an international platformBetter qualified than (almost) everybody on the matchday threads. Doesn't seem to impede them at all.
I don’t think I suggested for one minute that it did. I was merely pointing out that, from a commenting on football point of view, her qualifications were more than just English Literature.I'm not sure playing amateur football once a week for a few years and taking a 2 week course qualifies you to advise Pep Guardiola
Because they know they've got an article full of nothing. What is this latest shit that every media outlet is now doing. They print about five paragraphs of absolute shite before they get to the main headline. It does my fucking head in!
