Doesn't even make sense. The whole idea is that winners (or, in Arsenal's case, drawers) should remain humble.

Typical of united heads to not understand stuff. I remember them singing “Always look on the bright side of life” as a taunt at other fans they had beaten, utterly failing to grasp the meaning of the song.

Inbred cretins.

Sutton told what to add there by Salford rag media
It reeks of something added in by an online sub Editor. The BBC online team has a history of including unprofessional personalised comments. It is a cultural issue within the team driven by a few individuals.

What's happened to Owen Hargreaves ?
Is he still appearing on TNT ?
City face him a 2nd chance after that lot gave him the elbow.
Not sure if he is fair about City ?
I'm not asking for a City fanboy like Dippy Dion salivating over anything Rag (didn't he call Ten Bob - Gaffer ???).
Just want a fair assessment and opinion that doesn't pander to the Red Arse cheek teams e.g. Pat Nevin...
To pro City for their liking.

they'll be queuing up (well the list needs updating - one or two are no longer with us)

Ian Haslam??? Has he had a go at us as well?

Not sure your use of 'pal' is a term of endearment here but my point is that she did directly reference the rags - OT is specifically their stadium not the surrounding area. She did not say "no money will be made available for the stadium development itself" (see transcript of speech) The Labour Party using funding the scum as propaganda is almost as despicable as getting Ratboy to star in their adverts and events.
Old Trafford is an area of Gtr Manchester surely? Lancashire Cricket Club have nothing to do with the rags for example.

One of the BBC headlines was 'City narrowly avoid humiliation in CL'.

That really bugged me. Humiliation? Humiliation? We have qualified since 2011/12, reached the knockout stages since 13/14, reached 2 finals and won the CL once. What other English club comes even close during that period? And yet we would be humiliated by being knocked out?
Does the club behave arrogantly to deserve a 'humiliation' label? Does it fuck, Pep is the most 'humble' manager out there. I'm sure they do it just to wind us up.

In this case they succeeded.
Go fuck yourselves BBC Sports.

Typical sort of snidey dig by the BBC (the last sentence). I mean, why would anyone even say this unless there is some dislike towards either the club or Haaland. Pathetic

He (Chris Sutton)told BBC Sport: “This is a huge game for the Gunners – in the past couple of seasons it has been a title decider when they’ve played Manchester City but this time only Arsenal’s title hopes are on the line.

"City have improved of late but I still look at them and think they are going to concede a goal, as Club Brugge showed on Wednesday. It was a great game when these two met earlier in the season and Leandro Trossard was sent off in a 2-2 draw.

"The readers will probably go for a 1-1 draw this time, I reckon, but I am going to pick a winner. It is the Gunners who I see taking this, and I wouldn’t be surprised if a set-piece proves crucial. Let’s hope City striker Erling Haaland can ‘stay humble’ if his team do end up being beaten.”
Didn't he commit a hanging offense and throw the ball at the back of an Arse defenders head?

Lets get one thing straight here, erling haaland doesnt have to be humble, he has won almost everything domestically in his short career and is one of the most coveted young strikers in the world and a genuine global superstar, he can brag as much as he wants and can back it up at the same time, the tarquins who are serial bottlers should show some humility as they have nothing but empty words and a sparse trophy cabinet to back up their constant yapping and whining, i genuinely dont think they understand what humble means.

That's exactly why it would have been humiliating? Given our consistent strong performances in the competition qualification from the initial stage is all but guaranteed? If the rags are relegated this season or even close to it do you not think that would be humiliating?
I'm not sure what you last paragraph means. Both arrogant and non arrogant people can equally be humiliated nor do you need to be non humble to be humilitaed.

Humiliated for getting put out of a cup competition against other elite teams?
Stay humble mate.

Humiliation:
the feeling of being ashamed or losing respect for yourself.

Is that how the Club and its fans should feel if we had got put out?
Really?
