Not only that but the rags got the swamp free of charge thanks to their first sugar daddy John Henry Davies footing the entire cost of contsruction out of his own pocket. The club didn't pay a penny in construction costs.

Then their second sugar daddy James Gibson lobbied incessantly, calling in favours from politician friends with no doubt brown envelopes changing hands, for the government to foot the bill for rebuilding the bomb damaged parts of the swamp. The government ended up paying that cost and even paid for the cost of removing the rubble before reconstruction started. All this at a time of severe post war austerity and hardship.
Ogden is a typical Rag, no knowledge of anything that happened pre 1993

Not to mention them getting Government cash for stadium improvements prior to the 1966 World Cup.

Govt funding for the bombing is not an issue for me. Financing of the cantilever prior to 66 world cup is very dubious

Every day is a school day on Bluemoon!

Did they get financial aid/grants for the Euro 96 games played there ?
Seem to remember the German fans base for the tournament was at Maine Road ?

Excellent post pal.

It's a great feeling to see that cockroach whingeing about the plight of the Trafford Tramps.
What is Ogden's actual job title ?
Is he the chief bucket rattler to try and get public money and also get public opinion on their side ?
If so, let's help to keep him in his job.
The bloke is yesterday's news, just like his club...
He works at Trafford's Department of Truth.

Not one national news outlet has reported City’s partnership with Radisson which is quite extraordinary in the cycle of news. When the bbc gives updates from former receptionists funerals by the hour, you think an announcement of the hotel name would get a few lines online.
There has been very little national coverage of the new arena, the new stand, or the hotel. In fact hardly anything has been reported about any of Sheikh Mansour’s wider investments in Manchester. The media has also ignored the fact he has so far made at least £2bn profit on his investments. It doesn’t really support the fake sportswashing narrative.

Not a chance Stone writes this article if his beloved Rags were cashing in….
I would give up the FA Cup and the PL, just to win, this one, this season - should also cover the cost of Lord Panick and pay for the South stand to have a Travelodge pinned on to it.
