You can watch any sport on any channel and you know that the commentary/punditry will be professional and fair to the competitors except football, it's fucking weird.
Think it was a mistake to give these gigs to former players over the years. I know it may not be popular but I do genuinely think you’d have been better having journalists sat in the studios and on co-comms.

Journalists write. Talking is a different matter.

Not at all. They're all peddling the media lines. If it was journos it would be the same.

Micah claimed Forest were brilliant or something to that effect. They weren't. They simply defended well at home. City were awful offensively, and defended their goal badly.
Any manager can coach any set of players to play like Forrest did today, some better than others as you say they weren’t brilliant What is brilliant is being able to coach a group to control a game and be open and win like Pep has done through out his time at City He would never send a team out to play like Forrest and frankly I don’t want to watch City give up 70% of the play park the bus and win like they did today those tactics won’t win in the end
Richards is like most pundits useless and I gave up listening to them a long time ago

Spot on! Once again we get camel gob willing on whoever were playing. I’ve nothing at all against lescott but fuck me what an absolute whelp when it comes to standing up for the club he once won the league for while the ex rag coke sniffer slags us off
I’m betting a months wages Wio couldn’t find his arse with both hands if it had impartial written across it

Yeh I can’t wait to listen to Stone, Ogden, Winter covering our games.

Couldn't believe it when McCoist said that Anderson could've hurt himself, when he tried to cripple Foden.
I couldn’t believe the fat fucks response to Joleon saying it wasn’t accidental and it was a dangerous challenge.
He was a patronising little shit who said Joleon needed a cup of tea and to calm down.

Genuinely can’t believe he said that about a colleague.

But the media hate us. Compare the media hysteria over the Millwall keeper challenge to Mane on Ederson. Liverpool actually appealed the red card and a lot of the media backed them.

And don’t ever forget the scousers booing Ederson off the pitch on a strtcher. The classless, hypocritical cunts.

McCoist is the perfect example of how being in the media shapes your opinion. He was a breath of fresh air when he rolled out with Prime, but following stints with TalkSport, BT, et al, that impartiality disappeared and he became just another Top 4 fanboy.

The media isn’t there to tell the truth, it’s there to influence ‘their’ truth.

I only read what the media say on this thread.
I watch games on tv with the sound low, canr hear their crap. Not hearing the statium sound does take away from the atmosphere of the game but it's a price to pay to avoid listening to spitty, drug cheat etc
That's exactly what I do, and have being doing it for a couple of years now. I get so annoyed with the biased shite they spout, listening to them spoils my enjoyment of the game. When watching City the tv goes on and the sound goes off.

So I’m definitely still upset after yesterday.

But compare these 2 headlines from the Guardian.
One says city are ruining football and it’s no longer competitive. The other boastful that Liverpool went 13 points clear.

Had sly sports news on last few days, non stop ads for the rags v tarquins this weekend, thought i was in the late 90s for a time!!.
