She's literally said in the article that she asked the club and they refused. It seems like Blues have a different response depending on who they get through to on the helpline..
I’ve known Helen for years and she’s absolutely 100% fucking sound and a mega hardcore blue
A regular in The Shamrock post match back in the day, when Ancoats was rough.

Is that the BBC article you linked to? I agree with her point about the pregnancy, but I don't see any mention of her talking to the club. She only appeared to be talking about how she would have had a problem last year when she was pregnant, and hypothetical problems she anticipates may happen this season.

She spoke to the club last season and they told her she couldn't defer. I've heard pregnant women Blues right now told "wait and let's see what happens", the whole thing is a joke. I'd love to trust the club, but remember these are the same people who said disabled fans weren't using parking spaces and it turned out they were lying - or their stats were wrong - and they u-turned on that. Up to you how you take that. I love my club, not sure how much I trust some of these middle managers who provide these stats.

What could they do then? I had my Sky app ping that our debutants made their debuts and I’ve just had one about Arnold for Madrid. It’s just basic coverage of a basic tournament.

And especially the byline… is pretty much nowt to do with a match between Real and Al.

It is purely to do with a cult of producing articles about certain teams (ex in this case) players.

There is a player that has won more than any other in the past decade in English football, who has also recently moved on in a free transfer… I look forward to the headline bbc piece on the day after 24th August when he makes his debut against Sassuolo… but I doubt we’ll be seeing it… nor a headline top story like ‘how did de bruyne do on Napoli debut?’ And a byline ‘Kevin de bruyne is heavily involved in a mixed debut for Napoli as the post- Manchester City spell of his career truly begins’

Whilst I agree to an extent, part of this is the media obsession with English players (especially those that are young), look at the fawning over the prick that is Jude Bellingham or Owen (when he moved abroad, or Gazza or Beckham) But there is still a club dynamic otherwise Foden would get more positive coverage.

Almost finished watching the Overlap with Johnny Marr as guest. Quality!
Honestly don't know how you can watch that shite. The bits i normally see about City are always stinking with undertones of hatred for us and then when the City fan on there does speak he usually just gets shouted down by bitter fans of other clubs or someone like carragher or neville chatting utter shit about us.

Completely different show. This is just the ex-players sat around a table chatting to the guest. There are zero fans involved.

I've only been watching the CWC on Ch5, won't sign up to dazn. So far, they've loved Chelsea, adored real Franco FC and highlighted what a poor season we've had. Same shit. What a shame the 'istreeee boys have missed out.

Chipmunk Somers has been poo on beeb, remember her saying to Raheem after a man of the match performance for England, so you've justified your inclusion? Sterling literally was wtaf. She's continuing in this vein, repeated digs about Phil's first goal since January. How many times had he actually played, how often had he been out with injury etc?

I have enjoyed the enthusiasm and positivity of the pitchside reporters, marked contrast to sly/tnt/BBC/ ITV. I flicked over for the U21s against Germany, FFS saw Joe cole and Theo Walcott and was out of there faster than accidentally wandering into a vegan restaurant.

Hope there will eventually be a reset with football presentation but as ever the conversation seems skewered by the redshirts.
