Hi mate, as a person with half of his family as Chinese nationals spread between Manchester and Shanghai who are big supporters and matchgoing fans, I know exactly zero people who have walked away from City over this and probably only about 5% even care after seeing the actual context.

By your logic here, City are responsible for everything its fans do or say in life, which is completely ridiculous. I can guarantee you that every week plenty of people who would identify as City fans, get locked up for drunkenness, domestic abuse, drugs, and whatever else. Should the club be issuing a statement every time, of course not. You are confusing MCFC and a famous rock star who happens to support the club. If Liam has annoyed you fine, don’t buy his music or merchandise, there are plenty of City fans who don’t much like him or Oasis, but it has zero to do with the club.

I just can’t wrap my head around how the official club media stayed silent—and went on to show support for Liam and Oasis with a line from lyrics. Maybe local fans don’t care. I went to Shanghai around 2008 for a pre season friendly tournament and had a brilliant time, a fantastic and very modern city. Visited the natural human museum and bought a huge penis with a chain wrapped around it which represented that you can chain a man but not his emotions, still have it to this day.

The downside I discovered is that Carragher would love it there as everyone spits all over the place.

I wouldn’t personally ‘check out’ what either of those clubs did about anything. I despise the pair of them. One is constantly bankrupt whilst trying to unsettle other peoples players. The other has a monopoly and huge institutional favouritism, whilst whining constantly about the English clubs. If they somehow pass your behavioural test, whilst City seemingly fail it, you are perhaps on the wrong forum.

Perhaps you can link some stuff, because I checked out bilibili and the biggest video I could find about this had 1413 views? And it totally ignored all the context.

They're presumably reckoning that we've insulted every single fan from Asia which considering it covers 30% of the earth's landmass is a lot of people. I'd guess the Asian part of Russia for instance wouldn't give a flying fuck.
