Media discussion - 2025/26

Just a update, I decided to appeal the moderators decision that saying and publishing "City are Proven Self Confessed Cheats" was ok, I filled out a appeal form asking when City had been found guilty of cheating? and why was the comment not removed,
It took them a couple of days to get back to me but this morning I got a Email from the BBC which said "In this instance, We Believe the Moderator made the correct decision so we will be unable to uphold your appeal"
I know I was wasting my time I was just interested if the BBC would accept they made a mistake, obviously not,
I thought maybe saying Cheats was acceptable these days so posted "liverpool are cheats" on a HYS this morning about the Dippers, Needless to say it was removed in less than 2 minutes :-)
I am sure the club could wipe the floor with the BBC if they could be bothered.
I'm sure the club are aware and I suspect in the big scheme of things they view the BBC as an irrelevant non-entity.
I can see why as it's difficult to take them seriously these days as they're an embarrassment of an organisation with a proven track record of covering up for the numerous paedophiles on their payroll.

Simple answer: Didn't qualify for any European competition, knocked out of League Cup 1st round, knocked out of FA Cup 1st round. Spent a fortune in last summers window. Fresh legs for every game they've played all season and they're asking how Carrick has got them up the table. I fuckin despair at the glorification given to this shower of shit. I should also add, about discissions given in favour of this shower but that has been a constant for as long as I can remember.
Far be it for me to defend the MSM cunts, but it's all about cash.....now a positive story about the rags generates MONEY.
And WE ALL KNOW a negative story about City generates MONEY.

I know as City fans it's fucking annoying, but money makes the world go round....and the RAGS make money(clicks)for the MSM.

Would prefer Foden had summer off, bit of sun, fishing and a re-focus.
Totally agree, and to be fair...he's never really done it for England,in fact he's been ABSOLUTELY shite, maybe his hearts MORE at City than England.....and that's okay with me,I've ALWAYS been more City than country when it comes to football at least.

I would agree he has never been great for England but in no way has he been shite, during the last Euros he hit the post twice and had one cleared off the line, a couple of those go in and the Cretins in the Media would make him England player of the tournament,
His last couple of games for England have been poor but he should be nowhere near the England squad at the moment, I dont know why but he is just not right?,
Personally I really couldnt give a toss about England & I hope Phil gets the summer off to sort things out but the way he has been made the scapegoat this past few days has been nothing short of a disgrace & us Blues should be trying to get behind him & not slag him off,
He is one of our own & won 18 trophies with us, give the lad a break ffs.

Agree that some of the people moderating comments are very junior staff who appear to have very little grasp of media law. The big problem is the lack of editorial scrutiny of the entire operation. For example who is siging off on the ridiculous PR output from Simon Stone? There is no attempt at balance.

The BBC probably think their substantial tax payer funded legal department will be able to swat away most complaints without breaking into too much of a sweat.
Their MO on dealing with complaints
1) Dismiss the complaint and thank the complainer for bring it to their attention it will be circulated, and ignored
2) Receive the follow up complaint ignore it to the last minute then send a mail to say that they apologise but they need more time to consider it with some BS about staff might be away
3) Forget all about it hoping it will go away
4) Get a complaint about not getting a reply
5) Reply with an apology with either agreeing and its been put right or they dont agree

They dont care as they arent held to task hence why they have had so "wrong ones" in their mist
