It's not particularly her.

It is the way BBC employ people.

I, and many others would prefer the BBC, to advertise jobs, and then undergo a competitive, fair, interview process.

It may even find the paedos, and wrong uns during the process.

If the stepdaughter had been involved in a fair , competitive, application process, I doubt she would have been the strongest applicant.

Now do almost all the arts. Nepotism and specifically Oxbridge have taken over all influential media in the uk. I’m amazed they aren’t all over closing social media down. Acting/music/presenting/documentaries/sports are infested with the sons and daughters.

We will never know. She appeared with him in a couple of his documentaries and was hired on the basis of that. Personally, I think she is very good at what she does. It’s not just the BBC though nepotism is rife in Industry and politics. Just look at the public school system. That’s why I can’t really get annoyed with Megan McCubbin.

I pay for the privilege of BBC nepotism though.
But you are correct

You are right , of course, but I am required by law to pay a license fee. Perhaps if the BBC employed on merit, they would be in a better financial position.
I was just using her as an example because another poster had mentioned her name. She is better than MS,
Nepotism it seems is an acceptable part of Society.

Not as clever as he likes to make out.
Will always remember him for being a complete twat whenever he played for Crystal Palace at Maine Road.
Continually gave the officials (especially Linesmen) a load of stick.
Narky individual who now seems to be seen as a character...
Never bought into the ‘uncle wrighty’ shtick.

…on a side note snl uk did a great piss take sketch when he thought his old school teacher was dead.

I can think of a hundred worse things that the BBC have done over the years. The step daughter is a very knowledgeable and competent naturalist who unlike many presenters on the BBC treats the audience as adults rather than hyperactive children. I can’t understand why anyone would have an issue with her
She got the job because of who she was related to not what she knows am sure all the naturalists who aren't related to Peckham are pleased they were never given the opportunity due to BBC nepotism

In actual media news, this mprning's Irish Independent carried a story that Luis Enrique is about to "disappoint Manchester United" by signing a new deal with PSG.
What the actual..?
In what world was LE considering leaving the very solvent reigning European champions for thar shitshow?
Wait, wait... I can see it now: his missus drains her champagne glass as the couple sit by window overlooking the lights of the Champs Elysee.
Wearily she sighs.
"What is it, my love?" he says.
"Darling, I'm weary of Paris. Take me to the edge of the Trafford Industrial Estate..."

And it's started!

The London based Red Shirt Cartel Shill Journalists can't help themselves.

Nothing about City.
