Innocent until proven guilty!! ;-)

I think that is the crux. It takes a long time to mend burned bridges.

Three things come to mind immediately.

The championing of the WhatsApp group as arbiters on all that is wrong with the club, including participation in a portion of a MacKenna podcast subtitled "Bad moon rising? Manchester City are in a whole host of blinding headlights. To break down the flaws and failures, the ethics and the crimes, from the court rooms to the board rooms".

Then there was his Twitter survey of "City fans" looking for views on the fans' relationship with the owner, led by this tweet "Are there any City fans reading this who feel sandwiched between 'City are corrupt and evil' and 'my club never do any wrong, everybody is out to get us'?" The result was predictable. And useless.

And, finally, the crowning turd in the water tank, his suggestion that City fans never warmed to Riyadh Mahrez because "Perhaps his race and faith play into that — maybe those Haaland clips are easier to relate to because he is a white European rather than a North African Muslim. Of course, that will not be a factor for many, but it cannot be overlooked as one reason why he has maybe not been given the love that a player with his contributions would ordinarily receive and deserve."

That was me done with him.

The ****.
Talk about the character assassination of a whole fanbase by a smearing us with the racist fantasies of a white middle class self loathing chinless wonder.
I actually remember as a boy that the City fans I knew being more supportive/protective of Alex Williams because of the racism he faced.

Wouldn't that make him a bellend? Sneaking into a "family event" pretending to be a family member and getting kicked out.

You've just proven it
I'm not sure having a band that lets you in that was given to you by a player really qualifies as "sneaking in" nor how as a journalist whose job is literally to do this makes him a "bellend". Again, you people are fucking nuts. We live in totally different worlds.

You're totally wrong here mate and you sound like a lunatic which saddens me as someone who has so much respect for your posts and the knowledge and humour. Show me these articles. Let's get legal about it.

:) I'll have to dig them out again. Give me five and I'll see you on the dark side of the moon.

The Mahrez one was posted above I think.

Oh now you have done it. Welcome to the world of abuse. Sam is a unicorn on this forum.

Here they come…

Any min now…

Burn him and cast aspersions about his character.

Check.

Home run -:)

It took me a while to find a way read this dipper puff piece as a non subscriber - but seriously don't you see the angle?
View attachment 162445Tbf looking at his more recent efforts there is a sprinkling of reluctant acknowledgement of our injury difficulties last season but I'm afraid the jury came in with their guilty verdict on Sam long ago. Maybe a longer spell in the podcast correction camp with the pro City lads will aid his rehabilitation - more joy in blue heaven etc etc...;-)
This? Really?

We've appointed some coaches from Liverpool, how else should that be dressed up?

Non-City & scouse fans might not know Lijnders by name, so it references him being Klopp's assistant. It's normal.

Call out shit and biased articles, but be a little less blinkered about it.

Here is the MacKenna, Delaney, McGeehan tweet.

Mackenna's tweet about the podcast:

The podcast seems to have been deleted and I can't find a transcript anywhere, it was five years ago. But I do seem to remember the first five minutes of it and it went as you would expect with a football journalist up against MacKenna and McGeehan on the evils of the UAE. I would be interested in listening again, though, if you can find it.

Here is the tweet about fans' views on the owner:

And this was the subsequent article:

Have a look through it all from the perspective in which I made my burning bridges comment, including the comments on the tweets from City fans. I think I know you well enough on here to have an idea of what you will say, and you are certainly smart enough to know what I will say in response. Happy to go through the process, though.

I will admit up front that I am quick to decide when someone, in my view, is a **** and, once they are, that's it until I drop dead, most likely sooner than later. I just don't have the patience any more to deal with them. Strength or weakness? You tell me :)

Soriano is another **** in point where I know you disagree with me. C'est la vie.

Some of those are two years apart. Your evidence is that someone said he had a conversation, then someone else described their own views on a conversation.

I refuse to pretend this is logical or has evidential backing. I just won't. This is fucking nuts and I won't pretend it isn't because City are involved.

Fair enough. I never asked you to.
