Media discussion - 2025/26

I wonder if somethings going on between the 2. It’s the type of match report you get for National league games. I dont understand why Stone attends or asks a question at our briefings when it’s clear they don’t give a flying fuck.
Hope so, our national broadcaster is a major cheerleader for the cartel attempts to destroy us. The club needs to fight back - it is letting the fans down by its silence.

Just looking at the sports pages in The Sun. They have reports of Arsenal’s game against Bilbao and the Rags game against Fiorentina.

I have to assume we didn’t play yesterday.
We shouldn't be surprised . We all know what's going on .

What is interesting to me is that previously any coverage of preseason City, which given our recent and trophy laden past is surely justifiable , would have been a vehicle to bang on about spending , sports washing, 115 or some such as pure clickbait . Now the silence is deafening ....we may as well be Notts Forest or Aston Villa for all the coverage we get ( no disrespect intended)..I honestly think this Red Cartel wall to wall brown nosing is seriously pissing off most football fans . If it means we aren't getting the usual snide digs and plastic City coverage I'm all for it tbh . Stealth is the best way to attack while the Red Cartel disappear up their own dysfunctional arses .

It's been the same for years...the red tops creaming themselves about untied and secondly lpool, there's even a columb about some untied player now baking cakes for living, WTF is that about. Meanwhile, likkle Citeh just get on with the job, no fuss, no dramas and show them how it's done.
Personally i don't mind it that way, its piss funny watching and reading (online, don't buy papers anymore) the excuse mobs.

If they are ignoring City we must be doing something right. If we’d lost yesterday you could bet your mortgage it would have been top billing on Sky, BBC, The Daily Mail etc.

Only stories I’ve seen is printing bad news articles about Rodri and Kovacic being injured. If Mbueno or Cunha had scored a brace like they Reinjdeers did yesterday there would be wall to wall circle jerk articles about how they are the missing piece etc.

BBC yet again an absolute joke. Complete blank of our game last night compared to live text reports on everything Rags. Isn't it about time our so called Media team took them to task and threaten them with a complete ban from the ground
It appears that’s happened.

Albeit it’s a voluntary self-ban by the bbc…

Very odd, the main BBC sport football homepage has just 3 mentions of us, the first is the gossip pages where Rodri's future is worrying as he hasn't committed to a new contract yet, the 2nd is Pep's comments re, Rodri's injury and the 3rd is about the dippers signing Gareth Taylor after we sacked him for their womens team.

You have to go to the City specific page for a 70 (yes, just seventy) word write up of last nights game.

"Manchester City concluded their pre-season preparations with a commanding victory over Palermo in their only summer friendly.

Summer signing Rayan Cherki set up Erling Haaland for the opening goal in the first half before being replaced at half-time by fellow new boy Tijjani Reijnders.

In the second half, the Dutch midfielder impressed with two slick finishes to establish his credentials before Man City open the season at Wolves on Saturday."

They didn’t just have live txt of the United game they had live reporting on 5live. In between the championship games they went to OT for updates. Guess who… Simon Stone.

Our media team are right on this as we speak:

Same with Everton.

First game in their new stadium yesterday and nothing about that on the BBC yet 2 weeks ago had rolling coverage of the dippers friendly vs Preston
I'm not a great lover of anything scouse, but I would really really love to see Everton kick the dippers off their perch after moving into their new stadium.
Just like we did with the rags.

Just checked and our only pre season friendly game is also the only one of all the ones played by PL clubs not to be reported on by the BBC - not even the score was squeezed into 100+ results listed yesterday. Why is this allowed to happen?
It’s by design, they cover meaningless end of season games for the rags with stone out in Asia was it with write ups and yet nothing on our game last night,it’s not a mistake it’s deliberate..

Just penned a furious volley at the City media team for their pathetic inertia via the OS contact form - should give them a laugh

Prejudicial reporting and false equivalence combine to promote the redshirt cartel in every Stone/Roan BBC article about City.

Our national broadcaster is a major cheerleader for the cartel attempts to destroy us through its 'cheating dirty Arab team' narrative. The club media team needs to fight back - it is letting the fans down by its silence. The complete absence of any report by them about the Palermo game yesterday contrasts starkly with live text feed about the United Fiorentina game - but you know all this, you read the City forums, they record it's been going on for more than a decade. Pull your fingers out!
