Media discussion - 2025/26

The bbc “Match of the day: Preview the season” has just gone through in depth Liverpool, Arsenal, Chelsea, Man Utd then focussed on the relegation battle. Not a mention of City!
Just watched it, the mention was just Grealish to Everton and how he might fit in there, no discussion of incoming City players or the prospects of the four-in-a-row winners at all, it beggars belief!
But, yes, as you say BB, they made sure they gave the club who finished 15th a good summary...

How could you possibly interpret that story as negative? Did you even read it?
Will Unwin is a blue actually.
Nope. But whether he’s a blue or not, he’s bound by the Guardian’s editorial bosses & the article introduction does the damage our rivals want to read:

Squad will need to adapt quickly to Pep Guardiola’s evolutionary tactics, while a battle looms between James Trafford and Ederson for the No 1 jersey

It goes on with a negative slant about Foden. So I didn’t bother downloading it.
All squads have to adapt quickly to a new season … this article intro is designed to attract the red readers in hope…. It’s not really something to make us feel good is it?

My thoughts exactly. Shows them in their true colours. How can you do a PL preview without mentioning the best team over the last 8 years

Someone will be along shortly to defend the BBC and say that they didn't mean it and it was a justified oversight.
