Thank you @slbsn . Clear and dispassionate analysis that sheds light on this complex area for all football fans . About as far removed from the hysterical click bait on Talk Sport that is their usual product . Speaks volumes that none of the " reputable " sports outlets are presenting similar information . I'll happily stand corrected though , if anyone has other examples they can share .

I'm sure we're all queueing up to watch this:

I'll watch it. I'll be amazed if I don't disagree with much of what he says but (if it's free to view) I'll give it a go.

To be fair to Jordan, we might not agree with him but he did at least show willingness to take "our" arguments (ably presented by @slbsn ) on board and appeared to somewhat adjust his views accordingly.
The least we can do is hear out his arguments in return.

That quality (to not only see things as others see them but have the humility to accept there may be truth in the opposing argument) has yet to be displayed by a range of journalists , from boors like Delaney (who regularly boasts about his degree btw) or others who trade on a perceived reputation of applying intellectual rigour to their standpoint like Winter or Wilson.

It's fair to say, the staunchly held City-related opinions of most journalists haven't moved by a fraction of one iota in the last 15 years. Their hatred is so entrenched that a pro-City CAS verdict couldn't sway them and even when the APT case later found the Premier League has been constructing laws that "by object" (ie whose objective was to) impede City, they continue to portray City as the villians of the piece.

Probably, when they read this (and we know ye do, lads) they'll argue that City fans haven't displayed the same ability (to adjust our views as Jordan has) but that's only whataboutism of the child's playground vintage. Quite simply, fans are expected to be partisan, journalists aren't.
Yet again, the phrase 'fans with typewriters' cones to mind.

Watched about five minutes of a Premier League preview on BT last night. I switched off when Joe Cole described Liverpool as the clearest PL favourites for ten years. Have they no shame, or is it simply a lack of intelligence and critical thought?
Fuckin incredible mate. We finished 3rd, 12 points behind the dippers. Our team was absolutely decimated. Leaving the dippers a free hit at the title as we knew Arsenal would bottle out. I personally wasn't that impressed with the dippers last season, and only a moron could come out with that comment, " the clearest PL favourites for 10 years".
Why not just save time, give the dippers every trophy available (even that one the rags were running round with the other day) Give Wirts the Ballon D'or and BT, Sky and the BBC can all go home happy.
My brain just can't handle Coles comment after City's achievements over the last 10 years

Kind of shoots down the narrative that we made the PL uncompetitive - they can't have it both ways.
Anyway, I'm happy that there's pressure on them before a ball has been kicked.

Come on Bluemooners we can think of something - maybe why an integrity free cartel shill (trying to damage City because they banned him for lying a decade ago) is their Sports Editor perhaps?

How could you possibly interpret that story as negative? Did you even read it?
Will Unwin is a blue actually.

There’s more than a few cranks on this forum. But this thread attracts the really really out there ones. It’s hilarious. At least I feel sane after reading it.

BBC at it again - Cherki given the number 10 shirt as worn by Kun and apparently Colin Bell!

Anybody know how to unpick the number 8 from my retro shirt?
To be fair, Bell did wear the Number 10 shirt at Maine Road against Bolton in April 1966. He also wore Number 9 against Bury twice immediately before.

We've had one shit season out of how many. I say shit but for me it was disappointing. I'm not bothered, too much, about no trophies, as I believe they are rewards for the staff and players. I haven't won anything. I just want to watch us play good football as much as possible. In this respect, last season was dire. Not one match I would like to see again.

Just had a comment removed from bbc hys. In reply to a prick called bradders on a City 3rd kit article which read " Have they been demoted yet?" I wrote this comment should be removed but oh it's OK it's anti City, this was ignored. I then replied "Shouldn't you be checking this comment? It's anti City so it's ok ." The comment from the prick remains but mine was deemed to have broken house rules.

Liverpool continue their transfer spending spree and getting slaughtered for it by the (red shirt,) media.
