Media discussion - 2025/26

Sly Sports are a fucking disgrace.

The hypocrisy and protection of Liverpool FC is shocking.

In the opening weekend of the premier league so far there has been two reported incidents of alleged racism.

First one was the Liverpool fan against Semenyo at Klanfield

The other a Luton fan against a Bradford player.

However, this is how Sly frame it:

Luton fan

"A Luton fan has been arrested for making racist comments"

Liverpool fan

"A spectator has been arrested for making racist comments"

Can these fuckers not see this is part of the problem? Call the cunts out for it. City fan. Rag fan. Liverpool fan. Chelsea fan. Any fan.

This is racism we're talking about. The media cannot afford to pick and choose which fans get called out and which clubs get protected.

I've said it before and I will continue to say it.

The media in this country is complicit in the feral behavior of Liverpool fans.

They are cowards and the dippers get away with it.

Delooney now claiming Savinho is overpriced - the prospect of Rodrygo at City is troubling his tiny hate-filled brain.

just the next rag off the BBC rank - plenty more waiting to pollute the mediasphere for our public broadcaster

Alot of the press in this country have blood on their hands in fuelling hatred and bile towards Manchester city football club and it's supporters and one day it will spill over in to violence and possibly more....sick and tired of the protection the red shirt clubs get...I use to think I was just paranoid and maybe I am but it's never fooking ending and while I try not to let it bother me but seeing that little shit goblin delooney talking shite gets my shackles up....rant over....

After couple of decent articles about City’s win and performance at Wolves yesterday, and City needing to move on players.(Pep in his press interview)

Gaughan starts this morning with…….

IMG_3724.jpeg

Why would any self respecting City fan pay money to read that article?

Imagine if Liverpool, Arsenal, United or Chelsea had won their first game away 0-4.

There would be positive article, after article, about those teams. (not that United would win 0-4)

When we continue to win and we most certainly will the gutter press will revert back to oil cheats and other slurs.

Saying that we will still serve them pastries sandwiches and gallons of earl grey after they write the shite.

"Rooney turned up at 10:30am to formally kick off his new role as a regular pundit for the broadcaster. The former Manchester United and England captain is believed to have signed a lucrative deal worth around £800,000 a year to join the iconic football highlights programme"

4,584 License fee payer's to fund his salary Utter disgrace

If they are paying him £800 a year they’d be over paying him. He was clearly a good footballer, but he was hopeless as a manager and he will never ever make it as a pundit and quite why the BBC thought he would is staggering. He sat there last night blustering away stating the fucking obvious as if he was providing some valuable insight into the game - I was embarrassed for him. His salary really isn’t the issue, although I’m sure like Simon Stone he will be rinsing the licence payer - it’s the fact that he’s been given yet another opportunity (like all his managerial positions) that he simply does not deserve.
Rooney is there for one reason and one reason alone. He's a rag.

BBC and Sky stopped hiring pundits who are intelligent and can offer genuinely insightful analysis years ago. Their football output is produced by, and for, armchair rags/scousers.

Why would any self respecting City fan go on the Daily Mail website to see what they're saying about our club?

We know what their content is like. It hasn't changed for years. So simply don't give them the clicks.

If you go looking for things to get annoyed about, where you know you are going to find it, then don't be surprised when you're suitably annoyed at the negativity around City.

Surprised the manager even gives NBC Sports the time of the day after what they did previously. That year we pipped Arsenal to the title and they were all pitchside at the Emirates, they went into a long monologue about the charges.

Personally i'd have taken a leaf out of the book of Marinakes.

After yesterday's victory Delooney comments on Sheik Mansour's post-season interview.
Did this happen? Or is it an exple of his ignorance?

We have a media thread we have a Sunday supplement thread.
Both threads moaning about how shit our press/media are.

What I dont understand is why any City fan bothers to watch or read them.

I couldn't give a fuck about what anyone says or writes about my club. Haven’t bought a paper for decades, don't listen to football programmes. Turn the match on at ko, half time make a brew, turn the match of at full time.
I have watched the match, I dont need some has been ex pro to give me his thoughts, who the fuck cares about their thoughts.

Is it going to stop me supporting City ? No
Is it going to stop me wearing my City colours ? No
Is it going to make me hide my City tatts ? No
Is it going to make me take my City stickers of the car ? No
Is it going to affect the teams performance ? No
Is it going to stop players signing for City ? No
Is it going to stop sponsorship ? No
Is it going to stop City from investing in the stadium and surrounding area ? No
Is it going to stop young kids becoming City fans ? No

All they are there for is a comfort blanket for dippers, rags, gooners.

The press/media dont care about other clubs. Once City are cleared of the 115 what the fuck are they going to talk or write about to get clicks ?

:) I suppose this counts as media. I was watching the lovely Alice with her review of the match and she said, bless her little cotton socks (I hope) that a lot of people had written City off from the title race because of one bad year but, and I quote, "this is Manchester City we are talking about". I like the sound of that. I hope it catches on.

Wonder what her prediction of her beloved rags is this year after them having a VERY VERY BAD year?
