Exactly, except with the certain knowledge that most younger fans will not be following in their footsteps and so provoking their ire against City who have been the dominant club for the coming generation.

Also remember that many young football fans from support the team of their parents or close family member.
The Trafford Tramps probably have tens of thousands of youngsters throughout the UK and Ireland that are shit-scared of rebelling against their elders, so they still superficially follow them.
Young fans from abroad will probably have an easier task in picking their own "superstar team" e.g. City or PSG.
Now living in the North East, I see more City kids with shirts/training gear on than them feckers.
Fortunately, the local Geordies detest them, almost as much as us...
 
If you subscribe to the Athletic, you might be disappointed to know that 4 of the Athletic's journalists run a YouTube channel called Talk of the Devils. It's another Man Utd fan channel only this time the fan's are Man Utd supporting Athletic journalists.
