How City's 'Council House Kids' knocked United off their Perch

- the headline from a (surprisingly fair) two page article in the Daily Mail today by.... (astonishingly) Ian Ladyman. Must be Opposotes Day or something.

These days, I get my papers (for free) on the app provided by my local library which doesn't allow sharing.

PS: joining your local library isn't only highly recommended for all sorts of reasons btw, but the way politicians like to close down libraries, you should consoder it your civic duty yo register as a user.

Regardless of tomorrow's result I expect Gary Neville's "United perspective" to be relayed, repeated and debated for the subsequent 48 hours.

Hopefully he'll be using phrases like "clueless".and "tactically inferior".but at some point he'll be playing the "morally superior" card, and if he gets backed onto a corner you can guarantee that he'll start getting childish and calling them a bigger club.

What I don't expect is anything remotely resembling the City perspective.
 
Considering it’s one of the biggest derbies in English football and in the world, there isn’t much about it in the media the day before.

Two currently bang average teams likely fighting out for a draw because neither team can afford to lose.

Having said that, if United lose, Amorim will be close to going. They have Chelsea next week.

For us, I only think it will start getting troublesome media wise if we lose tomorrow and get battered by Arsenal. Knives will be out in the media for Pep then, and from a lot, albeit not most in the fanbase.

It’s only big to us and United fans. Same as Liverpool Everton, Arsenal Spurs. Football has become that sterile the derbies aren’t what they used to be beyond the two sets of fans of the clubs playing.

The only Derby in British football that gets any kind of build up and where you can sense the hatred from the outside, is the Glasgow Derby, and that’s because it’s for non-football matters.
