In this instance I don't believe we are the target for sponsorship it's a dick waving contest showing off to other tech companies.

What I find concerning are the actual figures, that can't be good business sense to give a failing brand that amount of money.

Mainly makers of GPU's for mobile phones (ARM)... if you have ever had a mobile phone that is capable of playing games you have used a Snapdragon product which is under the umbrella of Qualcomm.

That being said how do this useless outfit keep getting these big deals?

Clearly mobile phones capable of playing games are far superior to the rags team who are clearly incapable of the same.

If you use or have ever used an Android phone or various cars amongst other devices, then you've used a Snapdragon chip (CPU, GPU, modems etc). Similarly to Nvidia advertising, it's pure brand awareness.
