Media discussion - 2025/26

They didn’t win 18 of their 56 games last season, including losing to Paris and Newcastle in the same week in March, not long after losing to Plymouth in February which saw them knocked out of all cup comps in the space of a month.

Then they didn’t win any of their last four PL games meaning they finished on a fairly modest points total as champions.

I would say they are much bigger bumps in the road than this week.

How the fuck can you win the league at a canter, sign a couple of players, win 5 out of the first 5 in the league then suddenly become a team in transition?

Ah I get it now.

The only thing transitioning here is this scouse bellend turning into a dickhead.
Such a bunch of bias twats it's laughable

Some Arsenal knob stick on talksport earlier called Jacob on Hawksby and Jacobs. Was talking how Arteta has had to put up with Manchester Citys financial doping.

Next words were oh sorry I mean alledgedly.

Not sure how on earth we allow this as a club.
Literally slandering us to feed the myth.
And yet, there are no charges related to the period after Arteta left…

September champions every year.
I actually think they may win it but square head got lucky on Sunday
Because they scored a late winner, they are now being touted as ‘mentality monsters’, just like Klopp’s team and that didn’t end well a lot of the time!

I thought Sunday was a clue as to why they might not win it, once again. Firstly, the idea Arteta ‘took the handbrake off’ is laughable. I know they won the game but, after they got to 1-1 he couldn’t replace forward with a defender quick enough, which doesn’t suggest a new found attacking verve.

Secondly, celebrating like they’ve won it every time they win a game will mentally and emotionally exhaust them, as it does every season.

Interesting and certainly not surprising that the BBC this morning are going down the City can't hold a lead with no mention of the penalty being contentious unlike the dips in Tuesday where every report has the Gala player going down like a sack of spuds.

I've also yet to see anything to suggest the Spanish ref had a shit game or even anything negative about him....if nothing else I'd like to know who he flashed his red card at on the benches and why nobody actually left the side of the pitch.

Nobody outside our fanbase will have watched more than five minutes of our game. It was a very poor game that neutrals and journos would just have switched over from and picked any other game to watch. Or maybe some paint to watch dry.

I was bored shitless last night especially in that 2nd half, terrible game to watch
Yes it was a shite game but the media in general and especially our dedicated BBC reporter are paid to watch it.

Chris Sutton - why does he dislike us so much? Just constant jibes and wise racks against us throughout 5live commentary last night. Constantly talking about what Monaco needed to do to get back at us. Refused to get involved in a pragmatic assessment of the 'penalty', laughing claiming that Nicos foot was higher than a world record high jump. He's got form for it to. Just wondered what's the background to it

To be honest he's like that with most teams.
He really knows how to get the rags backs up as well.
I think he just believes he's an amazing pundit and human being.
Basically loves himself

Sutton is just an all round arsehole. He offers no insight into the game whatsoever, likes to take the contrary view every time.
