There’s an annual report fromI am getting fed up at the moment with claims in the media that the Liverpool v Man Utd game is the biggest game of the season, between the two biggest clubs in English football. If it is so, then it is marginal. A lot of people who watch Man Utd games, and read their articles, are in my opinion City and Liverpool fans who enjoy watching them struggle.
I looked at Youtube subscriber numbers to get an idea of club popularity. This does suggest that Liverpool and Man Utd still are the best supported clubs but it's by no means as one-sided as the media coverage suggests.
Club Subscribers (m) Liverpool 11.9 Man Utd 10.4 Manchester City 8.8 Chelsea 6.1 Arsenal 4.9

Figures are for June 2025

It’s not really anything to brag about unless you are RM or Barca.
It’s more shutting up arseholes saying ‘my club is bigger than City’, ‘you have no fans’
NB Further down the list Leicester is far higher relatively (24.5m vs 18.8m) than those perennial bullshitters Villa.
That 24.5m is about the gap between City & Chelsea.
Of note is a column showing ‘growth’ from June 2024. City 8% - didn’t win anything, Liverpool 7.5% - won PL.
